William “Bill” E. Peck, Sr., age 87, of North Platte, NE passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at Great Plains Health Hospital in North Platte.

Bill was born on September 19, 1935 in North Platte, NE the son of Carl and Ruth (Edis) Peck. &nbsp;He grew up in North Platte and attended North Platte High School. &nbsp;He married Elvina J. Bruce on November 12, 1955 and together they had four children. &nbsp;Bill worked for most of his career with the Union Pacific railroad and retired in 1997. &nbsp;He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and in his younger years racing cars. &nbsp;He also liked pitching horseshoes and bowling.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 67 years, Elvina; daughters, Cindy Bohlen of North Platte, NE and Rhonda (Bill) Powers of North Platte, NE; sons, Bill (Emily) Peck, Jr. of McCook, NE and Bruce (Jannet) Peck of North Platte, NE; grandchildren, Jeromie (Lisa) Yonker, Billy (Ashley) Yonker, Sara (Hunter) Eller, Molly (Ben) Kranda, Beth (Jeremane) McCray, Daniel (Karly) Peck, Thomas Peck, and William Klatt; great grandchildren, Madison, Cari, Breanna, Emily, Joey, Clay, Haley, Hunter, Hayden, Haylen, Hayze, Jordee, Treyt, Jade, Colton, Felicity, Isabel, Calan, Nathan, Carson, and Tucker; great-great-grandsons, Mateo and Kortez; sister, Carol Douglas of North Platte; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter; infant great grand-daughters, Jocelynn and Maria; 2 other infant great grandchildren; brothers and sisters in law, Frank (Erla) Peck and Don (Dona) Peck; brother-in-law, Dale Douglas.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday May 31, 2023 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel with Pastor Mark Baldwin officiating. &nbsp;Burial will follow at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens in North Platte. &nbsp;

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel in North Platte, which has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Charles "Eddie" Nichols  (1933-2023)

Robert "Bob" Francis Lundeen, age 74, of North Platte, Nebraska passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at the MAYO Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota surrounded by his loving and devoted wife and daughters.

Bob was born on March 27, 1949 in Milbank, South Dakota and was the son of Francis Ralph "Bud" Lundeen and Faye Catherine (Hamel) Lundeen.&nbsp; He was raised in Milbank and graduated from Milbank High School in 1967.&nbsp; He spent his entire childhood a block away from Sandra K. Lee.&nbsp; They started dating their senior year of high school, and the rest is history....best friends and soulmates.&nbsp; They were married on February 8, 1969 in Kearney, Nebraska and together they had two daughters, Tina and Jennifer.&nbsp; He graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in 1971 with a BS in Business Administration and Finance.

He has been described as a fierce friend, generous beyond compare, adventurer and force of nature.&nbsp; In his career, Bob was an entrepreneur, risk-taker and leader.&nbsp; He was the CEO for Mid-America Bio Energy based in North Platte, Nebraska, but in the end, he called himself a pipefitter.&nbsp; Bob was most comfortable with the humble title of self-made man and "regular guy."&nbsp; He was an avid golfer who took up the game at age four and loved playing courses all over the world.&nbsp; On the saltwater in the Pacific Northwest was where Bob became most as peace along with his family and friends.&nbsp; His business travels made it possible for him to visit locations all over the World.&nbsp; He especially enjoyed travels with his wife and family.&nbsp; It was during many of these travels that Bob made lasting and deep friendships which he dearly cherished over the years.&nbsp; Bob was an impeccable dressed gentleman, who lived life to the fullest along with a most generous heart, he was a quiet philanthropist with the many talents and treasures God had given him.&nbsp; He believed that true happiness and success is defined as 'self-contentment,' which he certainly had.&nbsp; He was a most beloved husband, father, papa, and uncle and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 54 years, Sandy; his daughters, Christina "Tina" Lundeen Smith and husband Steven of Golden, Colorado and Jennifer Lundeen Read and husband Prestin of Omaha, Nebraska; grandchildren, Stella Gervaise Smith, Scarlett Francis Read, and Tucker Robert Read; his sister, Janie Sogioka; brother-in-law, David Lee (Kelley); sister-in-law, Jennie Thames Lee; and several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bud and Faye Lundeen; in-laws, Quentin and Gervaise Lee; brother, Douglas Ralph Lundeen; brothers-in-law, Quentin A. Lee and Carl Sogioka; and by a grandson, Sutton Robert Smith.

A Celebration of Bob's Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in North Platte, Nebraska with Pastor Patrick Sipes officiating.&nbsp; Burial will be private.

Robert "Bob" Francis Lundeen  (1949-2023)

Lori Jean Melroy, formerly of Cozad, Nebraska, passed away at her home in Westminster, Colorado on April 12, 2023.&nbsp; She was 63 years old.

Lori was born on January 17, 1960 to Gean and Velva Melroy at Cozad, Nebraska.&nbsp; She later moved to North Platte, Nebraska with her parents and went on to graduate from North Platte High School.

Following graduation, Lori moved to Omaha, Nebraska where she worked at Johnny's Steak House, then cooked at a restaurant in Kansas City.&nbsp; She returned to North Platte and continued working in restaurants including the Country Club and Rivers Edge Golf Course.

While working in&nbsp; North Platte, Lori met Frank Walawitch and they served together at many food events in North Platte.&nbsp; They moved to Scottsbluff, Nebraska where Lori worked at a nursing home and later, because of Frank's job, they moved to the Denver, Colorado area.&nbsp; Lori became a salad chef for a large Catholic Hospital, then when Covid hit she was laid off.&nbsp; Cooking is what Lori loved and her interest in food preparation became her passion.

She was preceded in death by her friend, Frank; her parents; her brothers Jay and Gary (Janet) Melroy; grandparents, Grace and Harry Higgason; her aunt and unlce, Lucille &amp; Clark Hord; and her uncle, Phil Higgason.

Survivors include Lori's brothers, Jim (Dee) Melroy of Windom, Kansas and Gordon (Joyce) Melroy of Cozad, Nebraska; as well as many nieces, nephews and other family.

Graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens in North Platte, Nebraska. In lieu of flowers, memorials are to Eagles Aeries #2839, where Lori was a member.

Lori Jean Melroy  (1960-2023)

Jill Smith Davis, 49, of Ansley passed away surrounded by family on May 22nd, 2023, at Kearney Regional Hospital. She was born in Sargent to Al and Ruth Smith. Jill attended and graduated from Sargent Public Schools. In 1992, she welcomed her first child, Quincy. After graduation she attended Grand Island Community College. On April 22, 1995, Jill was married to Doug Davis of Sargent, who embraced Quincy as his own. From this marriage came Brayden Davis, Jill’s second and youngest child. While Jill’s marriage to Doug ended, Jill found her fiancé, Matt Lane, and lived with him in the Ansley/Westerville area. Jill was a grandma to two beautiful grandchildren: Vivian and Jaxon.&nbsp;

Jill was known for her infectious smile and welcoming personality. She enjoyed watching Husker volleyball, getting her nails done, entertaining friends, and listening to music. She was the owner of KOs bar in Ansley, where she welcomed patrons with her warm smile and endearing personality. She was passionate about her work and took great pride in providing a welcoming atmosphere for her customers.

Jill's legacy will live on through her children and grandchildren, who brought her endless pride and joy, and the countless memories she created for her family and friends. She will forever be cherished and remembered by all who knew her.

Jill Smith Davis (1973-2023)

Tony Lee Bennett, age 63, of McCook, NE passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023 at Kearney Regional Medical Center in Kearney, NE after a short but courageous battle with cancer.

Tony was born January 3, 1960 in Kearney to parents Harold and Patty (McMahan) Bennett. As the second youngest in a family of 8, Tony developed his charming personality at a young age always bringing joy and laughter wherever he went. He spent most of his early childhood in Imperial, Nebraska before the Bennett family moved to McCook in 1971. Tony developed a love for sports young when he became an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan, sneaking into his father’s car to listen to the games on the radio as a kid. He also personally excelled in athletics, competing in basketball and football for the Bison. Tony graduated from McCook Senior High with the Class of 1978.

On January 6, 1979, Tony married the love of his life, Sharon (Woodruff) Bennett in McCook. Tony and Sharon have an everlasting love and were blessed to celebrate their 44th wedding anniversary earlier this year.&nbsp; The couple made their home in McCook with their two children, Nate and Amanda. He enjoyed camping, fishing and was always the biggest supporter of his children and grandchildren in all their activities and sporting events. Some of Tony’s proudest moments came from being a husband, father, and grandfather.&nbsp;

Tony was a kindhearted and generous soul to family, friends, and strangers. He deeply valued his family and would always put himself second to those he loved. Tony found strength and comfort in his faith attending the Evangelical Free Church where he was an active Life Team member.

At the time of his death, Tony worked as an area manager for Van Diest where he had been employed for over 20 years.&nbsp;

Tony was preceded in death by his father, Harold Bennett; mother-in-law Nina Woodruff; father-in-law Bob Woodruff; brother Tim Bennett and brother-in-law Pete Burger. Those left to celebrate his life include his wife, Sharon Bennett of McCook; son Nate and wife Heather Bennett and their daughter, Ella, of Kearney; daughter Amanda Bennett and her son, Asher, of McCook; mother, Patty Bennett of McCook; sister, Daylene Bennett of Estes Park, CO; brothers, Tom (Jody) Bennett of Winter Haven, FL, Terry (Tammy) Bennett of Estes Park, CO and Todd (Julie) Bennett of Grand Island, NE; sister-in-law Terri Smith of Lakeland FL; brother-in-law David (Deann) of Chandler, AZ; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, May 27th at 11:00 am at the Evangelical Free Church in McCook.&nbsp; In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name.

As the second youngest in a family of 8, Tony developed his charming personality at a young age always bringing joy and laughter wherever he went. He spent most of his early childhood in Imperial, Nebraska before the Bennett family moved to McCook in 1971. Tony developed a love for sports young when he became an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan, sneaking into his father’s car to listen to the games on the radio as a kid. He also personally excelled in athletics, competing in basketball and football for the Bison. Tony graduated from McCook Senior High with the Class of 1978.On January 6, 1979, Tony married the love of his life, Sharon (Woodruff) Bennett in McCook. Tony and Sharon have an everlasting love and were blessed to celebrate their 44th wedding anniversary earlier this year.&nbsp; The couple made their home in McCook with their two children, Nate and Amanda. He enjoyed camping, fishing and was always the biggest supporter of his children and grandchildren in all their activities and sporting events. Some of Tony’s proudest moments came from being a husband, father, and grandfather.&nbsp;Tony was a kindhearted and generous soul to family, friends, and strangers. He deeply valued his family and would always put himself second to those he loved. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Norbert Francis Liebig was born on December 27, 1946, in Redfield, South Dakota to Zita (Robinson) and Gaar Liebig.&nbsp; Norb was the third of five children. He grew up in Frankfort, South Dakota, loving to hunt and fish. During high school, Norb participated in football, basketball, and track. He lettered all four years of high school in all sports. He was named Homecoming King his senior year. Norb graduated from Redfield High School in 1965. During the summer years Norb played baseball. He pitched, played third base, and caught.&nbsp;

&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;In the fall of 1965, he started college at Northern State Teachers College in Aberdeen, South Dakota. After one year, Norb got his draft notice. His grades were good enough not be drafted but opted to join the Army. He joined October 27, 1966. He took basic training in Fort Bliss, Texas and then on to Fort Eustis, Virginia to AIT school on helicopters. After AIT school, he relocated to Fort Benning, Georgia in 1967.&nbsp; In 1967, the Army was putting together a new chinook helicopter company with a bunch of mechanics that were “attached” to the new helicopter company. Norb was a mechanic in that attachment (16th TC Detachment). In April of 1968, he departed for Vietnam from San Francisco, California.&nbsp;

&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;For 23 days Norb sailed the USS General John Pope from California to Vietnam. After six months in Vietnam, he became a crew chief on a chinook helicopter, called the “Filthy Few.” A couple months later he became a flight engineer assigned to his own helicopter called “Patches.” As a result of the flight time, Norb was awarded the Air Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters. He departed Vietnam from Camron Bay on May 29, 1969.&nbsp;

&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Norb’s lifelong dream was to be a State Trooper. In the summer of 1972, the Nebraska State Patrol was taking applications. He applied and was invited to camp in September of 1972. He graduated in November and his first duty assignment was in O’Neill, Nebraska. He spent 8.5 years in O’Neill. He was promoted to Corporal and relocated to Ainsworth, Nebraska. In 1983, he was promoted to Sergeant. In 1986 he was promoted to Lieutenant and was relocated to North Platte, Nebraska where he spent the rest of his career.&nbsp;

&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;While working for the Nebraska State Patrol, seven years were spent in the Investigation Division working undercover. Known as Jacob Vincent Francis, he purchased illegal drugs, worked seven murder-for-hire cases (two for the FBI), and spent 6 weeks in three different jails in Nebraska working murder suspects. In 1998 he went back to the traffic division. He retired from the Nebraska State Patrol in December of 2006, after 34 years.&nbsp;

&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;The happiest moment of Norb’s life was finding out he was going to be a father. He became a dad on June 7, 1984, when his one and only daughter, Audra Louise, was born in Lincoln, Nebraska. Weighing in at 5 pounds 6 ounces, she had him wrapped around his finger from the first meeting. Norb was present at Audra’s volleyball and basketball games and dance team performances. He was known as the “Dance Dad” at Chadron State College. He was the most remarkable, caring, understanding, and patient father a girl could ever hope or pray for.&nbsp;

&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Norb loved his three grandsons more than life itself. He attended baseball, basketball, and football games. He enjoyed helping them with batting, throwing, catching, and shooting. He was a prominent figure in their everyday lives. Norb was a phenomenal marksman and loved hunting with his family and dogs. He enjoyed going to the lake on his pontoon and fishing with his grandsons.&nbsp;

&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Norb will always be remembered for his kind heart, humor, and love of life. His infectious laugh and humility will be missed by all. Norb always tried to make this world a better place. He always lent a helping hand, a shoulder to cry on, and gave the best hugs. As a man with great integrity, he always did the right thing, was honest, and was true to his word. He genuinely was “one in a million.” Norb has left footprints on hundreds of peoples’ hearts. He will continue to live on through stories, memories, and good deeds.&nbsp;

&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Norb will be forever missed by his daughter, Audra; son-in-law, Gordy; and his three grandsons, Gage, Kasen, and Gaven; along with his sisters, Jane (Mel) Crist, Julie (Keith) Richmond, Joan Persing; and one brother, Louis (Myrt) Liebig. His many nieces and nephews along with their children will never forget him.&nbsp;

Verna May Kvasnicka of Cozad passed away Friday, May 19, 2023 at Emerald Care in Cozad at the age of 96. Verna was born in Elwood, Nebraska on September 17, 1926 to Gilbert and Anna (Hueftle) Houser. The family moved to Cozad in 1940. Verna graduated from Cozad High School with the class of 1944. In 1944, she married Darwin Kvasnicka. Their union was blessed with 3 children, Ron, Connie and Lannie. Verna and Darwin loved to go dancing at the Grand Generation Center. She enjoyed baking, cooking, camping and fishing. Verna treasured time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, and her cats and dogs. She was a faithful and devoted member of the Nazarene Church in Cozad for over 70 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband. Survivors include her children, Ron (Sharon Brand) Kvasnicka, Connie (Grant) Meyer, and Lannie (Kelly) Kvasnicka, all of Cozad; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and 9 great great grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.&nbsp; Verna’s wishes were to be cremated. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June10, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Nazarene Church in Cozad with Pastor Susan Sukraw officiating.&nbsp;

Larry went on to further his education at Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, Colorado. In 1989, Larry married Susan Ann Tomky at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Imperial and to this union two daughters were born: Mindy and Dawn. Larry and Susan settled on a farm 15 miles north of Imperial. Larry was an avid farmer/rancher and he enjoyed the rural life. In his spare time Larry enjoyed carpentry work and woodworking projects. He especially loved spending time with his family and visiting with his friends. Larry was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church of Imperial and the Knights of Columbus Council #7081 of Imperial, NE. Larry passed away early Sunday morning, May 21, 2023, at the Chase County Community Hospital, Imperial, NE. He was 60 years of age. Larry W Castle (1963-2023)

&nbsp; Ernest Martin, Jr. who everyone knew as “Gunner” was born on December 26, 1932, to Ernest and Eva (Freeland) Martin in their home south of Lamar, Nebraska. He lived his entire life on the family farm and was able to live at home until his death on May 18, 2023. Gunner attended Chase County High School through the 12th grade. He loved convertibles! He had one in high school he wished he had never sold. Gunner married Jacqueline Shrum of Benkelman, Nebraska, on June 19, 1953. They lived on the family farm in the home he grew up in until they built their new home on the same place in 1971. This union lasted over 30 years and during that time they raised four children: Jyl, Joni, Tami, and TJ. Gunner was a hardworking farmer and rancher. He also became an auctioneer, real estate broker and appraiser. Many times, while we were all in the car together, he would start auctioning and us kids would start bidding. It was a fun memory. Gunner enjoyed farming and in the 1970’s started developing grassland into irrigated farmland with pivot irrigation systems. He raised angus cattle, purchased calves, and fed them out in the feedlot he built south of their home. Gunner usually had a few quarter horse mares around as he enjoyed raising colts. His favorite horse however was a stud named “Bullet.” Jackie worked alongside Gunner for thirty years while raising their family. The couple, through this time, started racing thoroughbred horses in Omaha and Grand Island, Nebraska. It was an adventure they both enjoyed. Gunner had many accomplishments that he was proud of during his lifetime, but he was never a boastful man, and always remained very humble. Gunner was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Eva Martin, sisters; Loueva Makinster, Dortha Lyons, Frances Moranville, Fern Mathews, brothers Joe and Ben Martin.  </figure>&nbsp; Ernest Martin, Jr. who everyone knew as “Gunner” was born on December 26, 1932, to Ernest and Eva (Freeland) Martin in their home south of Lamar, Nebraska. He lived his entire life on the family farm and was able to live at home until his death on May 18, 2023. Gunner attended Chase County High School through the 12th grade. He loved convertibles! He had one in high school he wished he had never sold. Gunner married Jacqueline Shrum of Benkelman, Nebraska, on June 19, 1953. They lived on the family farm in the home he grew up in until they built their new home on the same place in 1971. This union lasted over 30 years and during that time they raised four children: Jyl, Joni, Tami, and TJ. Gunner was a hardworking farmer and rancher. He also became an auctioneer, real estate broker and appraiser. Many times, while we were all in the car together, he would start auctioning and us kids would start bidding. It was a fun memory. Gunner enjoyed farming and in the 1970’s started developing grassland into irrigated farmland with pivot irrigation systems. He raised angus cattle, purchased calves, and fed them out in the feedlot he built south of their home. Gunner usually had a few quarter horse mares around as he enjoyed raising colts. His favorite horse however was a stud named “Bullet.” Jackie worked alongside Gunner for thirty years while raising their family. The couple, through this time, started racing thoroughbred horses in Omaha and Grand Island, Nebraska. It was an adventure they both enjoyed. Gunner had many accomplishments that he was proud of during his lifetime, but he was never a boastful man, and always remained very humble. Gunner was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Eva Martin, sisters; Loueva Makinster, Dortha Lyons, Frances Moranville, Fern Mathews, brothers Joe and Ben Martin. Ernest "Gunner" Martin (1932-2023)

&nbsp; &nbsp; Frances S. Warner, age 92, of Lebanon, NE passed away at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital on May 22, 2023. She was born on the family farm east of Lebanon, NE on August 10, 1930, to William and Doris (Helt) Kettering. &nbsp;Frances attended Lebanon schools graduating from Lebanon High School in 1948.

&nbsp; &nbsp; Frances was united in marriage to Neal Warner on October 15, 1950. &nbsp; To this union a daughter, Susan, was born. &nbsp;Neal preceded Frances in death April 6, 2011. &nbsp;Frances worked side by side on the farm south of the Nebraska/Kansas Stateline with Neal until they retired and moved to town in 1969.

&nbsp; &nbsp; She was a member of the Lebanon Presbyterian Church. &nbsp;She was a church pianist for many years. &nbsp;Frances was an avid reader. &nbsp;She loved to quilt, play the piano. &nbsp;Frances took her bowling seriously and was very competitive. She was a past member of the VFW Auxiliary of Lebanon. &nbsp;Frances served on the Lebanon Cemetery Board for many years. The couple traveled to Colorado to enjoy the mountains.

&nbsp; &nbsp; She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Doris; husband, Neal; brother, Darold (Pauline) Ebert; 2 nieces, Marilyn Popham Waite, and Donna Taylor; her in-laws, Harry and Aril Warner.

Frances Susan Warner (1930-2023)

Joel “Gene” E. Hiatt, 73, of North Platte, NE passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023 at Great Plains Health Hospital.

Gene was born on February 11, 1950 in North Platte, NE the son of Melvin Hiatt and Mary (Diamond) Hiatt Farrow.

Gene grew up in North Platte and attended North Platte High School. &nbsp;He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served during the Vietnam War. &nbsp;In 1971 he marred Holly Jo Hickman. &nbsp;Gene was a journeyman electrician for all his career, and he worked from 1971 until his retirement in 2006 for Snell’s Services in North Platte. &nbsp;He enjoyed gardening, camping, and was an avid sports fan especially football. &nbsp;He always had a special project in the works. &nbsp;Gene loved his pet dogs and is survived by his special dog “Buddy”.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 51 years, Holly; daughter, Tammy (Chris) Anderson of Lincoln; grandchildren, Jade Anderson (Brandon Kaiser), Elora Anderson (Levi Ebbeka), Ari Anderson, and Maggie Anderson all of Lincoln; great-grandchildren, Azzizah, Amelia, Ollie, and Carson; sister, Jackie (Herb) Kelley of North Platte; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Timothy; sister, Carolyn Pinault; and brother, Carrol Hiatt.

Joel "Gene" Hiatt (1950-2023)

Dennis Ray Richards, 79 of Sun City West, AZ, passed away at his home on May 19, 2023 with family at his side.

Dennis was born on February 23, 1944, in Holdrege, Nebraska, to Raymond James and Edith Mabel (Arehart) Richards. The family farmed by Republican City until the dam was built that took out their farm ground. At that time, they moved to the Kearney area where Denny attended public school. He graduated from Kearney High in 1962.

On December 31, 1983, Denny married Donna Russell in Gering, Nebraska. Together, they cultivated a life filled with love, shared memories, and wonderful family times, particularly at their cherished lakehouse. Dennis was an adoring father to his two sons, Reid and Ryan, whom he loved dearly. He bonded with them over shared passions for golf and airplanes.

Dennis was driven and goal-oriented. He excelled in his career in insurance and got to take many wonderful company trips with family as a result of his labors. Life gained special meaning when he realized the importance of looking to Jesus for peace and direction. Denny had a great zest for life and an adventurous spirit. His long time dream was to retire to Arizona, which he and Donna made the move in 2005 and built a beautiful home on the golf course.

Denny is preceded in death by his parents; and 2 brothers Kenneth and Douglas.

Survivors include his wife, Donna of Sun City West, AZ; his sons Reid (Brenda) of Lincoln, NE and Ryan (Aimee) of Buckeye, AZ, and daughter Renae (Loren) of Marshalltown, IA; father-in-law Duane Russell; Sisters-in-law Carol (Rick) Eiserman of AZ, Linda (Craig) Schriner of CO, and Ronda (Vance) McCoy of NE; and special connections with nieces and nephews Randy (Corinne) Richards; Robyn (Jack) Sprunk; Shelli (Harry) Seagle; Ryan Eiserman; Holly (Nick) Penido; Kait (Bill) Smith; Lauryn (Trevor) Foos; Tyler (Kaity) McCoy; Tanner (Kaycee) McCoy; and Meredith (Trevor) Hurlburt along with many other relatives and friends.

&nbsp; Lillian June Harms, 98, of Madrid, passed away on May 21, 2023, at the Imperial Manor. Lillian was born to Florene and Henry Kornelsen near Henderson, Nebraska, on December 16, 1924.&nbsp; In 1930, the family moved to the Holdrege Ranch near Madrid. She attended Madrid Public School through The 10th year and finished at Grant High School. Lillian started school when she was just four years old and graduated from high school at sixteen years of age. She taught one year of country school and then attended Tabor College. On September 2, 1943, she married Leland Harms. She always felt that she and Lee were meant to be married. During the war, they moved to Kalamazoo, Michigan, where she worked as a nurse's aide at Kalamazoo State Hospital. They moved back to Nebraska, where their three children were born; Cheryl, Myron, and Kevin. Lillian and Lee first farmed near Grainton and, in 1967, moved back to the family farm near Madrid. For a woman who didn't particularly like to cook, she spent many hours cooking for those working on their farms and for family and friends who came to visit. In the '60s, the family spent the winters in Reedley, California, so their daughter could attend Immanuel Academy. Lillian worked for a time at Kings View Hospital. Both Lee and Lillian had a heart for those experiencing mental health problems. The couple retired to Ogallala in 1983. Lee passed away in 1990. Lill loved to travel (she had wanted to be a world traveler), and the family took many trips together. She and Lee traveled to many states, and Lillian traveled to the Holy Land and Jordan. Lill has always been a student and loved studying the Bible. She committed many Scripture verses to memory. She read voraciously, a love that she passed on to her children. After Lee passed away, she taught an adult literacy class. She also loved playing table games, especially Quiddler. Throughout her later years, Lillian must have played it 10,000 times with her family and as recently as four days before her death. Her favorite Bible verses were: Romans 5:8 " But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." And Romans 8:1, "Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." She was preceded in death by her husband, Leland, her great-granddaughter Kate, her parents H.A. and Florene Kornelsen, and siblings Hulda Fannon and Ken Kornessen. She is survived by her children, Cheryl (George) Heming of Colorado Springs, Myron (Candi) Harms of Kalispell, MT, and Kevin (Linda) Harms of Madrid, NE, and her brother Dean (Barbara) Kornelsen, Denver, CO. Surviving grandchildren are Trista (Marcus) Costantino, Jed Heming, Brian (Devin) Harms, Tiffany Ward, Caleb (Joni) Harms and Jacob (Emily) Harms and seven great-grandchildren. Also, a host of relatives and friends who cared for her. Lillian's earnest desire and prayer is that each of her family be counted and named in God's Book of Life, praising Him and glorifying Him for His great Salvation. Lillian J. Harms (1924-2023)

Deborah Lynn Welsh 66, of North Platte passed away Friday, May 19, 2023 at North Platte Care Center. Deborah was born October 17, 1956, to Edward and Ruth Ellen (Davis) Schnitzer in North Platte.

She lived in North Platte throughout her childhood and graduated from North Platte High School in 1975. After moving to and living in Grand Island for a few years, she returned to North Platte where she married Steven Welsh. &nbsp;Deborah ran a home Day Care in North Platte for five years and worked at the North Platte Community Day Care for the following 27 years while working at the Presbyterian Church Nursery for many years. Deborah enjoyed watching Days of Our Lives every day. She was an avid fan of plays and musicals and often frequented the Neville Center. She also went on numerous bus tours and enjoyed traveling and sightseeing. Deborah loved her family, holding a special place in her heart for her grandchildren especially.

Deborah is survived by her husband Steven of North Platte; children Tiffany Zeff of Summerville, SC, and William Welsh of Omaha; grandchildren Fred (Sharon) Ehlers of Grand Junction, CO, Rhonda Godbey of North Platte, and Roger (Donna) Bir of Norfolk, VA; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Deborah was born October 17, 1956, to Edward and Ruth Ellen (Davis) Schnitzer in North Platte.She lived in North Platte throughout her childhood and graduated from North Platte High School in 1975. After moving to and living in Grand Island for a few years, she returned to North Platte where she married Steven Welsh. &nbsp;Deborah ran a home Day Care in North Platte for five years and worked at the North Platte Community Day Care for the following 27 years while working at the Presbyterian Church Nursery for many years. Deborah enjoyed watching Days of Our Lives every day. She was an avid fan of plays and musicals and often frequented the Neville Center. She also went on numerous bus tours and enjoyed traveling and sightseeing. Deborah Lynn Welsh (1956-2023)

Les O’Donnell, 82, departed this life for Heaven on May 22nd in North Platte, NE surrounded by his wife and family. &nbsp;He was born on September 7, 1940 in a farmhouse outside of Bird City, KS to Leslie and Doris (Lowe) O’Donnell. &nbsp;He was raised in Benkelman, NE with his older brother, LeRoy.

Les graduated from Benkelman High School in 1958. &nbsp;After high school he attended McCook Junior College and went on to the University of Nebraska and completed his degree in Civil Engineering. &nbsp;Les started working for the Nebraska Department of Roads maintenance division in Benkelman, NE in 1960. &nbsp;Before his graduation from the University, he married the love of his life, Deanna Nicholson, on June 10, 1962. &nbsp;Les continued working for the Department in the central headquarters in Lincoln during his last few years at the University. &nbsp;After his graduation in 1963, he was given the opportunity to join the Department full time in North Platte as an Engineer 1, working on various highway systems and the original Interstate system through the state. &nbsp;During these first years in North Platte, Les &amp; Deanna welcomed their first child, Larry, in January, 1966. &nbsp;

The family moved back to Lincoln in the fall of 1968. &nbsp;Les was working at the Department central headquarters in roadway design. &nbsp;In May of 1969, Les &amp; Deanna welcomed their second child, Lorie. &nbsp;In September, 1971 they welcomed their third child, Leah. &nbsp;In December, 1971 the family moved back to North Platte where Les was promoted the District 6 Construction Engineer for the Department. &nbsp;There he continued his career and was promoted to the District Engineer position for District 6 in June 1, 1974. &nbsp;Les retired from the Department after 44 years of service on October 14, 2005.

Les enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as coaching his children in sports. &nbsp;He coached Larry in little league baseball and football. &nbsp;He started coaching Leah in softball in 1980. &nbsp;He coached both of his daughters on the same team in the summer of 1984. &nbsp;He found a love for this sport and continued coaching softball for many years in North Platte. &nbsp;For several decades these ladies had the opportunity to continue playing softball in college after being coached by Les. &nbsp;He has coached two generations of softball players from North Platte, and hundreds of girls from the area. &nbsp;Les taught softball clinics across the state from Lincoln to Chadron, NE. &nbsp;He was honored to be inducted into the Nebraska Softball Coaches Hall of Fame.

Les was preceded in death by his parents and Deanna’s parents, his brother and sister-in-law, a nephew and a son-in-law. &nbsp;Those left to cherish Les’ memory are his wife, Deanna of almost 61 years; children Larry &amp; Christine O’Donnell, Lorie O’Donnell &amp; Greg Hanna, and Leah O’Donnell; grandchildren, Luke, Abigale, and Kailey Grace O’Donnell, Connor &amp; Callie States, Savanna States, Logan and Landan Greeno, and Layna O’Donnell; great-grandson Sawyer; sister-in-law Nici Lehmer; nephews John Lehmer, Lance O’Donnell, and Lynn O’Donnell.

Jeffrey Ellis “Jeff” Foreman, 78, passed away May 18, 2023 at home. &nbsp;He was born December 25, 1944 to Ellis and Donna (Jeffrey) Foreman in Sioux City, Iowa.

Jeff grew up in Creighton and Albion and graduated from Albion High School. &nbsp;He attended University of Nebraska at Lincoln for a year then enlisted in the United States Army, serving in Korea. &nbsp;After his honorable discharge, he attended Kearney State College where he also met Linda Sue Gorsuch. &nbsp;They were married June 1, 1968 in Mullen. &nbsp;

The couple lived in Albion, where he was the manager of Carhart-Foreman Lumber. Jeff later became a certified real estate appraiser in the Albion and Kearney areas. Jeff was very involved in the Albion Community where he was a member of the VFW and masonic lodge, served on several boards, was chair of the Boone County Democratic party, and was an active member of the Episcopal Church. The couple then moved to Kearney in 1996 and to North Platte in 2009 where Jeff retired and Linda was the director of the Area Agency on Aging. &nbsp; &nbsp;

Jeff was a skilled carpenter and built the family home in Albion. He enjoyed wood working, restoring old cars, gardening, and the ham radio community. &nbsp;He was an avid animal lover and family was the center of his life. &nbsp;He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

Survivors include wife, Linda of North Platte; children, Kristina (Aaron) Wright of Kearney, Kimberly Danish of Denver; grandchildren, Kale (Rachel) Wright of Kearney, Emily Wright of Omaha, Annika Danish of Denver; great grandson, Heath Wright; sister, Donna Foreman of Seattle, WA; numerous other family members and friends.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Ellis and Donna; sister, Nancy Fransecky.

Jeffrey "Jeff" Ellis Foreman (1944-2023)

Reinhold “Reiny” H. Burbach of North Platte died on Monday, May 22, 2023 at age 98. &nbsp;He was born on Jan. 23, 1925 in Hartington, Nebraska. &nbsp;His parents were Werner and Thersa (Schmidt) Burbach. &nbsp;He graduated from Holy Trinity Catholic High School.

In 1945 he joined the U.S. Army Infantry and had basic training at Camp Walters, Texas. While on leave he married Martha A. Langferman on July 9. &nbsp;He was stationed at the Pacific Theatre Manilla and later at Kyuisa Island of Japan during WWII. &nbsp;He received an honorable discharge in October 1946.

Reiny and Martha made their home in Hartington. &nbsp;They operated an ice cream bar. &nbsp;Reiny went on to work for Curtis Candy Company for 6 years. &nbsp;In 1956 he was appointed as a State Farm Insurance agent. &nbsp;They moved to North Platte in 1961 when he was promoted as a District Manager with State Farm Insurance and retired in1991.

Reiny was a life member of the Benevolent and Patriotic Order of Elks #985, a past Commander of VFW #5283, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #2839, and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #551. &nbsp;He was a 4th Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus.

Reiny was a charter member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish and trustee for 9 years. He served on the NPCS Endowment Board of Directors. &nbsp;For 30 years he managed the Bingo Activity at the KC Hall by creating teams, ordering supplies, and counting all the proceeds which were given to the NP Catholic Schools.

He enjoyed family gatherings, visiting friends and relatives (nearby and far away), playing cards, and traveling.

He was preceded in death by his wife Martha (73 years of marriage), his son Randy Burbach, his daughter Barb Waldschmidt, his parents, 5 brothers: &nbsp;Senator Julius Burbach, Rudy Burbach, Gerald Burbach, Theodore Burbach, and Peter Burbach, and two sisters: Leone Wortman and Rosemary White, and a son-in-law (Jim Waldschmidt).

He is survived by 2 sons: &nbsp;Bill (Suzanne) Burbach of Belmont, NH, Kevin (Denise) Burbach of Vail, AZ, and Randy’s wife, daughter-in-law, Denise Burbach; &nbsp;2 daughters: Rosemary (Ron) Jones of North Platte, and Karlene (Dave) Hoedel of Walled Lake, MI; &nbsp;2 sisters: Rita Isom and Monica Moser; &nbsp;13 grandchildren: &nbsp;Shawn Burbach of Omaha, Brian (Laura) Burbach of Belmont, NH, Heather Burbach of Ormond Beach, FL, Jennifer (Bryan) Enander of Bradenton, FL, &nbsp;Heidi (Stacy) Winters of Omaha, Aaron (Allison) Jones of Ogallala, Sarah (John) Swanson of Omaha, Kay (Kelly) Burbach of Lincoln, Ann (Chad) Grunewaldt of Vermillion, SD, Craig Burbach of Lincoln, Adam (Brock) Burbach of Lincoln, Jamie (Brian) Kalisher of Livonia, MI, and Mandy Hoedel of Walled Lake, MI; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Reinhold "Reiny" H. Burbach (1925-2023)

&nbsp; &nbsp; Bobbie Lynn (Steele) Gohl was born in St. Francis, Kansas on July 7, 1955. &nbsp;She was the oldest of five siblings. &nbsp;Bobbie attended school in a one room schoolhouse in the Porter District of Cheyenne County, Kansas through the sixth grade. &nbsp;She then attended school in Benkelman, Nebraska prior to moving to Culbertson, Nebraska in December of 1969 where she graduated from high school with the class of 1973.

&nbsp; &nbsp; Bobbie met Rick Gohl at a school basketball game and the couple was married on April 5, 1975 in the Methodist Church in Culbertson. &nbsp;To this union two sons were born, Jason in 1980 and Skip in 1983. &nbsp;The couple made the Culbertson area their lifetime home where Bobbie wore many hats, she was an Avon representative, she served as postmaster relief at the post office. &nbsp;Bobbie worked at the K-Store, Pathology services, she got her exercise by delivering papers and visiting with everyone. Bobbie served as the St. Johns Lutheran Church’s secretary for the last 17 years. &nbsp;She was a woman of strong faith, baptized on February 21, 1976 and confirmed the following day on February 22, 1976. &nbsp;

&nbsp; &nbsp; Bobbie was a person with countless talents. &nbsp;She baked cakes for all of her immediate families’ special events as well as many of her close friends. &nbsp;Bobbie loved flowers, she and her sister would take yearly trips to buy countless flowers to landscape their flowerbeds. &nbsp;As a mother, Bobbie rarely missed one of her boys’ sporting, 4H, or other activities. &nbsp;Bobbie’s true light shined when she became a grandmother to her five grandbabies: Wyatt, Oakley, Jesse, Athena, and Avereh. &nbsp;She had a way of making each moment special for her friends and families, especially Christmas and Easter. &nbsp;Bobbie was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and friend; she did so many things for others and made it look so effortless. &nbsp;She will be missed, but never forgotten.

&nbsp; &nbsp; After a lengthy battle with cancer, Bobbie moved into her heavenly Father’s home late Saturday evening, May 20, 2023 with her family at her side. &nbsp;She was 67 years of age.

&nbsp; &nbsp; Preceding her in death were her sister, Roxie in 1977; grandparents, Joe and Alice Steele and Thomas and Dell Blankenship; parents-in-law, William and Melva Gohl; brother-in-law, Russ Gohl; as well as many aunts and uncles.

&nbsp; &nbsp; Mourning her loss are her husband, Rick Gohl; son, Jason (Laura) Gohl and children, Wyatt, Oakley, and Jesse; son, Skip Gohl and children, Athena and Avereh; sister, Annie (Bud) Kehler, all of Culbertson; sister, Jo McCormick of Julesburg, Colorado; brother, Malvin “Bud” Steele of Burwell, Nebraska; foster parents, DeWayne and Gloria Kautz, along with many family members, cousins and friends. &nbsp;

&nbsp; &nbsp; Visitation will be held on Wednesday afternoon, May 24, 2023 from 10AM-7PM at Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook. &nbsp;Bobbie's family will be present to greet friends from 4-7PM.

&nbsp; &nbsp; Funeral services will be held at 10:30AM, Thursday, May 25, 2023 at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Culbertson with Pastor Bradley Rick officiating. &nbsp;Interment will follow services in the Culbertson Cemetery. Celebration of life to follow at the Hitchcock County AG Complex in Culbertson.&nbsp;

 </figure>&nbsp; &nbsp; Bobbie Lynn (Steele) Gohl was born in St. Francis, Kansas on July 7, 1955. &nbsp;She was the oldest of five siblings. &nbsp;Bobbie attended school in a one room schoolhouse in the Porter District of Cheyenne County, Kansas through the sixth grade. &nbsp;She then attended school in Benkelman, Nebraska prior to moving to Culbertson, Nebraska in December of 1969 where she graduated from high school with the class of 1973.&nbsp; &nbsp; Bobbie met Rick Gohl at a school basketball game and the couple was married on April 5, 1975 in the Methodist Church in Culbertson. &nbsp;To this union two sons were born, Jason in 1980 and Skip in 1983. &nbsp;The couple made the Culbertson area their lifetime home where Bobbie wore many hats, she was an Avon representative, she served as postmaster relief at the post office. &nbsp;Bobbie worked at the K-Store, Pathology services, she got her exercise by delivering papers and visiting with everyone. Bobbie served as the St. Johns Lutheran Church’s secretary for the last 17 years. &nbsp;She was a woman of strong faith, baptized on February 21, 1976 and confirmed the following day on February 22, 1976. &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; Bobbie was a person with countless talents. &nbsp;She baked cakes for all of her immediate families’ special events as well as many of her close friends. &nbsp;Bobbie loved flowers, she and her sister would take yearly trips to buy countless flowers to landscape their flowerbeds. &nbsp;As a mother, Bobbie rarely missed one of her boys’ sporting, 4H, or other activities. &nbsp;Bobbie’s true light shined when she became a grandmother to her five grandbabies: Wyatt, Oakley, Jesse, Athena, and Avereh. &nbsp;She had a way of making each moment special for her friends and families, especially Christmas and Easter. &nbsp;Bobbie was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and friend; she did so many things for others and made it look so effortless. &nbsp;She will be missed, but never forgotten.&nbsp; &nbsp; After a lengthy battle with cancer, Bobbie moved into her heavenly Father’s home late Saturday evening, May 20, 2023 with her family at her side. &nbsp;She was 67 years of age.&nbsp; &nbsp; Preceding her in death were her sister, Roxie in 1977; grandparents, Joe and Alice Steele and Thomas and Dell Blankenship; parents-in-law, William and Melva Gohl; brother-in-law, Russ Gohl; as well as many aunts and uncles.&nbsp; &nbsp; Mourning her loss are her husband, Rick Gohl; son, Jason (Laura) Gohl and children, Wyatt, Oakley, and Jesse; son, Skip Gohl and children, Athena and Avereh; sister, Annie (Bud) Kehler, all of Culbertson; sister, Jo McCormick of Julesburg, Colorado; brother, Malvin “Bud” Steele of Burwell, Nebraska; foster parents, DeWayne and Gloria Kautz, along with many family members, cousins and friends. &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; Visitation will be held on Wednesday afternoon, May 24, 2023 from 10AM-7PM at Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook. &nbsp;Bobbie's family will be present to greet friends from 4-7PM.&nbsp; &nbsp; Funeral services will be held at 10:30AM, Thursday, May 25, 2023 at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Culbertson with Pastor Bradley Rick officiating. &nbsp;Interment will follow services in the Culbertson Cemetery. Bobbie Lynn Gohl (1955-2023)

Carl Winfred Mosteller, 89, of North Platte, NE died Thursday, May 18, at his home. &nbsp;Carl was born Sept. 27, 1933, in McAlester, Oklahoma. He was the son of John Scott Mosteller and Irene (Baldwin) Mosteller. His father was a farmer and his mother was a homemaker.

Carl joined the US Navy in November, 1951, and received commendations for Korean Service, United Nations, and National Defense. He was Honorably Discharged in October 1955. &nbsp;While living in New Mexico, Carl met Karen Adelle Gaston of Roswell, NM. The couple married on Sept 5, 1954. To this union three children were born: Steven Kendrick, Melanie Irene, and Randall Dean Mosteller. The family moved to Colorado Springs, where Carl worked as an HVAC Technician for the US Civil Service at Fort Carson Army Base. Unfortunately, Karen died at the young age of 32 leaving Carl with three young children to raise. &nbsp;Carl later met and married Marylynn June Sevier in December of 1970 in Colorado Springs. Marylynn had two children from a previous marriage, Michele Suzanne and Denise Dianne Sevier. After their marriage, Carl legally adopted Michele and Denise. Marylynn had heart issues due to a childhood illness and Carl lost his second wife on April 19, 1974. &nbsp;On November 29, 1974, Carl married Carole Kay Thacker in Colorado Springs. Carole had one daughter, Cristi Kay, from a previous marriage. Carl also legally adopted Cristi and they became a family of eight. &nbsp;Carl continued to work in HVAC until 1981 when he retired. With the help of his son, Randy, and much patience from his wife and children, he build his dream home in the mountains of Colorado with a stunning view of the back of Pikes Peak. &nbsp;After the children graduated and left home, Carl and Carole moved to their beautiful mountain home, where they enjoyed many years together, appreciating the spectacular scenery, serenity, and wildlife. &nbsp;In 2009, the couple moved to North Platte, NE, due to the difficulties of aging and the small town conveniences and services that were not available in larger cities. North Platte was the perfect size and fit for them, with family members close by in Colorado and Nebraska. Carl also liked the fact that the low-speed limits allowed him to continue driving until his death. He was very proud of the fact that he never spent a single night in a hospital and was even born at home. He was very wise and had good common sense, but he never gave himself credit for anything he did. He always had a twinkle in his eye like he had a secret that only he knew. He loved all of his children and wives dearly and took his vows of “in sickness and in health” extremely seriously, often at his own expense. &nbsp;

Carl is survived by his wife, Carole, of North Platte; two sons, Steve (Laura) Mosteller of Papillion, NE, and Randy Mosteller of Ft. Collins, CO, three daughters, Melanie (Scott) Trent of Bailey, CO, Cristi (Mike) Cumming of North Platte, and Denise (Dennis) Sullivan of Gering, NE, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by Karen Mosteller and Marylynn Mosteller, his mother and father, one brother, one half-sister, and daughter Michele (Alan) Arnold of Colo. Springs, CO.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at Adams &amp; Swanson Funeral Home with Pastor Ryan Alexander Ryan Alexander officiating. &nbsp;Books signing will be from noon – 5:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 23 at Adams &amp; Swanson Funeral Home who is in charge of arrangements. &nbsp;Private family inurnment will be at Fort McPherson National Cemetery at a later date. &nbsp;

Carl Winfred Mosteller (1933-2023)

Clark D. Dangler, age 79, of Lexington Nebraska passed away on Friday, April 21, 2023, at Aspire of Oak Grove, Missouri.

Clark was born on May 6, 1943, in Grand Island, Nebraska, a son to the late Percy and Mildred (Nickel) Dangler.&nbsp;

Clark was employed with the City of Lexington for 19 years and Walmart of Lexington for over a decade. After retiring, Clark started being a Camp Host at different parks in Nebraska, California, Louisiana, and South Dakota. He was extremely hard working and always wanted to do the best he could. Anyone who knew him always knew they could count on him to get anything taken care of.

Clark was a religious person who was an avid angler. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He adored his grandchildren and his true partner in life, his beloved dog Rowdy.

Clark is survived by his two sons, Chad Dangler and his wife Kate of Oak Grove, Missouri and Troy Dangler and his family; four grandchildren, Marissa McCurdy, Hunter, William, and Kelsey Dangler plus a great grandchild, Ryker; one sister, Marcia Lantzer and her husband Gary of Grand Island, NE.; one sister-in-law, Jean Dangler of Oklahoma, along with many extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Dennis Dangler, and his dog Rowdy.

The family will host a Celebration of Life Service on June 10th, 2023, at Reynolds Love Funeral Home in Lexington, Nebraska at 1:00 PM.

Clark D Dangler (1943-2023)

George Judson Tiller, age 92, of McCook, NE passed away on Friday, February 19, 2023 at Hillcrest Caring Center in McCook.

George was born February 14, 1931 in Bartley, NE to parents William Bryon and Myrtle Millicent (Bush) Tiller. He was one of four children. When George was two years old, the family moved to Frontier County. George attended school at Zion Hill District 47 through the 8th&nbsp;grade. He&nbsp;graduated high school from NE School of Agriculture in Curtis, NE with the Class of 1949.&nbsp;

George went right to work on the family farm and in 1953, he began his own farming operation. On May 5, 1957, George married the love of his life, Lois Margaret (Johnston) Tiller in Indianola, NE. The couple was blessed with two children. George continued to farm while also enjoying wood working and collecting old tractors, two of which were a 1937 John Deere AR and a 1947 Farmhall H.

George will be remembered as a lifelong farmer.&nbsp; After his retirement, he kept an active interest in agriculture, continuing to work with several young farmers. He was a member of the Republican Valley School Board from 1980-1984. At that time, George and Lois moved to McCook.

George was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Robert Tiller and his two sisters, Lucille Greenlee and Marcia Bartels.

Those left to celebrate his life include his wife Lois Tiller of McCook, NE; children, Jeff Tiller of Lincoln, NE and Nancy Ridlen of Mullen, NE; five grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.&nbsp;

Angela “Angie” Ranie Mockry, age 57, passed away at her home in McCook, on Sunday, May 21, 2023. &nbsp;She was born on December 18, 1965, at St. Catherine’s Hospital in McCook, to Darrel and Doris (Hansen) Messersmith. &nbsp;Angie attended and graduated from McCook High School in 1985. &nbsp;&nbsp;

On June 12, 1999 Angie was united in marriage to Robert Mockry. &nbsp;The couple made their home in McCook. &nbsp;Angie was employed by Mac’s Drive In for over 23 years. &nbsp;She later was employed by Valmont Industry for 13 years as an electrical assembler. &nbsp;She enjoyed camping at Red Willow Reservoir. &nbsp;Angie enjoyed making Christmas candies, fudge, cherry mash, and peanut brittle. She collected penguins. Angie was a member of the Assembly of God Church.&nbsp;

She was preceded in death by her father, Darrel Messersmith.&nbsp;

Angie is survived by her husband, Rob; daughters, Aleece (Travis) Priest of Council Grove, KS, Sarah Messersmith of Panama City, FL, and Becca Mockry of McCook; son, Jacob Mockry, two grandchildren, Alex and Josh Priest; mother, Doris Messersmith of McCook; brothers, Darrell (Rita) Messersmith and Darin “Woody” Messersmith both of McCook; sister, Sharriea Burke of McCook.&nbsp;

Angela Ranie Mockry (1965-2023)

Tracy Dean Neverve passed away unexpectedly at his home in Hayes Center, NE on Wednesday May 17, 2023. He was 66 years of age.&nbsp;

Tracy was born in McCook, NE on Aug 31, 1956 to Harry and Josephine (McHarness) Neverve of Hayes Center, NE. He graduated from Hayes County High School in 1974. After graduation he entered the workforce with various employment at Hayes County Co-Op, Hayes County Road Department, and Hayes County Sheriff Department. He married Judy (Hurst) on August 6, 1983. They welcomed their daughter, Amber, in 1987 followed by the arrival of their son, Brett, in 1989. Tracy worked for the State of Nebraska Department of Roads for 32 years, retiring in 2013. Tracy was also a member of the Hayes County Volunteer Fire Department and EMT for many decades. In 2000 Tracy was elected to the Hayes Center Village Board where he dedicated over 20 years to serve the community he was so proud of. During his terms of service he held various positions, including mayor of Hayes Center. During his retirement he enjoyed spending time with his then wife, Cheryl (Ritesman), and their cats. He was always quick to call to discuss the weather and enjoyed completing the daily crossword puzzles. He loved to tinker around fixing the Ford 8N tractor and socializing over morning coffee at the Co-Op and Senior Center. Tracy also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Recently he filled his hours with work at O’Reilly’s Auto Parts in McCook where he loved socializing with the public. He is preceded in death by his father, Harry, mother, Josephine, and grandparents Barney and Anna Neverve. Survivors left to celebrate his life are daughter Amber (DJ) Edmonds of Terre Haute, IN, granddaughter Natalie and grandson Triston, son Brett (Morgan) Neverve of Beatrice, NE, grandsons Pearce and Maxim, sister Noreen Christner of Wauneta, NE, cousin Eileen Jepson of Curtis, NE, Ex-Wives Judy of Phoenix,AZ, Cheryl of Indianola, NE, and special friend Lori Turner along with nieces and dear friends. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday , May 26, 2023 at the Herrmann Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook with Pastor Jean Miller officiating.  </figure>Tracy Dean Neverve passed away unexpectedly at his home in Hayes Center, NE on Wednesday May 17, 2023. He was 66 years of age.&nbsp;Tracy was born in McCook, NE on Aug 31, 1956 to Harry and Josephine (McHarness) Neverve of Hayes Center, NE. He graduated from Hayes County High School in 1974. After graduation he entered the workforce with various employment at Hayes County Co-Op, Hayes County Road Department, and Hayes County Sheriff Department. He married Judy (Hurst) on August 6, 1983. They welcomed their daughter, Amber, in 1987 followed by the arrival of their son, Brett, in 1989. Tracy worked for the State of Nebraska Department of Roads for 32 years, retiring in 2013. Tracy was also a member of the Hayes County Volunteer Fire Department and EMT for many decades. In 2000 Tracy was elected to the Hayes Center Village Board where he dedicated over 20 years to serve the community he was so proud of. During his terms of service he held various positions, including mayor of Hayes Center. During his retirement he enjoyed spending time with his then wife, Cheryl (Ritesman), and their cats. He was always quick to call to discuss the weather and enjoyed completing the daily crossword puzzles. He loved to tinker around fixing the Ford 8N tractor and socializing over morning coffee at the Co-Op and Senior Center. Tracy also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Recently he filled his hours with work at O’Reilly’s Auto Parts in McCook where he loved socializing with the public. He is preceded in death by his father, Harry, mother, Josephine, and grandparents Barney and Anna Neverve. Survivors left to celebrate his life are daughter Amber (DJ) Edmonds of Terre Haute, IN, granddaughter Natalie and grandson Triston, son Brett (Morgan) Neverve of Beatrice, NE, grandsons Pearce and Maxim, sister Noreen Christner of Wauneta, NE, cousin Eileen Jepson of Curtis, NE, Ex-Wives Judy of Phoenix,AZ, Cheryl of Indianola, NE, and special friend Lori Turner along with nieces and dear friends. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday , May 26, 2023 at the Herrmann Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook with Pastor Jean Miller officiating. A private family inurnment will be at a future date. Karen (Kay) Keating of Lemoyne passed away on May 12, 2023, at her Lake McConaughy home.

Kay was born May 23, 1941, at Charter Oak, Iowa, to Herman and Viola (Reitz) Maahs. She attended school &amp; graduated from Charter Oak High School in 1959.

 </figure>Karen (Kay) Keating of Lemoyne passed away on May 12, 2023, at her Lake McConaughy home.Kay was born May 23, 1941, at Charter Oak, Iowa, to Herman and Viola (Reitz) Maahs. She attended school &amp; graduated from Charter Oak High School in 1959.Kay married Dennis Keating in Sept of 1959. They lived in Council Bluffs, IA, and Omaha until 1969. She worked at Mutual of Omaha for ten years. In 1969 the family moved to Littleton, CO, where she began her career with Johns Manville Corp. and worked her way up to payroll manager until her retirement in Dec. 2000. Following retirement, she and her husband moved to Ogallala to be near their daughter and grandchildren. She was very active and decided to go to work part-time at American Suzuki for several years. After she retired from ASC in 2012, she spent many happy hours helping her daughter &amp; son-in-law in their restaurant.She enjoyed boating, water skiing, and camping in her younger years. They frequented many lakes in the surrounding states during vacations. She also enjoyed golf and especially going to casinos.Kay is survived by her daughter Deb (JR) Branham of Ogallala; her grandchildren, Shawna (Spencer) Sexson, Arthur, James (Nana) Keating Indiana; great-grandsons, Vinnie Keating and Wyatt Sexson; great-granddaughter, Hailey Law of Ogallala; brothers, Richard (Annette) Maahs of Jefferson, SD, Robert (Evelyn) Maahs of Altus, OK, Gary (Sue) Maahs of Murphy, TX; and sister, Marcia (Dave) Sanchez of Yakima, WA.Karen was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and sister, Ginger.A memorial has been established in Karen's memory for later designation.
