Norma and her mother were baptized together on September 22, 1946. Norma attended McCook Christian Church. She worked periodically for JM McDonalds. She gave much of her time, talent, and gifts to the customers and fellow employees at McCook National Bank where she worked for over 34 years. She will be remembered by many in the community for the kind words and easy smile that she greeted them with when they walked through the bank doors.
Norma never married; she gave up having a family of her own when the task of caring for her own parents came into her life. She was a devoted daughter that took the responsibility in stride. Norma also had a deep passion for animals, especially her two dogs. She loved traveling with friends and spending time with her cousins, including her Whisler cousins in Eustis, Nebraska. Norma was a lifelong bowler and was proud of her 500 series accomplishment. She enjoyed coin collecting, a hobby she picked up from her father. Norma took great care of her home, flowers, and garden.
