Helen Rachell Canas, 50, of Gothenburg, Nebraska passed away in her home on May 24, 2024. Rachell was born on January 22, 1974 to Daniel Burns and Rhonda Reed.
In 1994, Rachell met the love of her life, Andy Canas. The two married in 2021 and blended their families. She frequently echoed that no matter how hard life was, he was her rock, and they loved each other unconditionally.
Rachell attended Concord Career College where she studied to become a medical assistant. Her kind, caring nature exuded her throughout life. She helped others as much as she possibly could.
She spent much of time gardening and tending to her Iris'. Her second babies were her five dogs Dierks, Trouble, Zero, Zeus, and Penny and bird, Paco. Rachell loved having friends over to float in her pool with her and have fires in the fire pit.
Rachell is survived by her husband, Andy; her three children, daughters, Kiley Darby of Bolivar, MO and Destany Motley of Weaubleau, MO, and son, Dalton Burns of Kansas, MO; her parents, Charles and Rhonda of Kansas City, MO; extended family: daughter, Rose Tagoa’i of Gothenburg; sons, Sean Canas of North Platte and Austin Canas of Gothenburg ; grandchildren, Indica Scott, Jaxson Scott, River Motley, Colter Motley, Emma DeLuna, Savannah Canas, Madison Olsen and Amelia Canas-Rodriguez ; her sisters, Sherry Burns, Erica Easley, Marenda Easley, and Chastity Brown.
She is preceded in death by her father and grandparents, Helen and Robert Reed.
A “Celebration of Life” be held for Rachel on Saturday, June 1, 2014 at Big E’s Bar in Cozad, Nebraska from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
