Stacey Dawn Matson was born on April 18, 1975 in McCook, Nebraska to Lionel Paul and Shari Dawn (Harrison) Weber.  She attended school in McCook and furthered her education at McCook Community College.

On December 10, 2000, she was united in marriage to Matthew Matson at her mother's home north of McCook.  Stacey and Matt lived their entire married life in McCook, Nebraska where she worked as a billing specialist for Michaelis Chiropractic clinic and later for Community Hospital.

Stacey loved to be outdoors.  The family took countless trips to area lakes where they enjoyed camping, fishing and just being around each other.  She was a true and loyal Nebraska Cornhusker fam and also the biggest fan and supporter of the family go-kart racing team.  Stacey enjoyed cooking and baking.  She will be remembered for her lasagnas and her 'chocolate free' chocolate chip cookies, made especially for Matt.

Stacey passed away at her home in McCook, Nebraska on Sunday, March 26, 2023.  She was 47 years of age.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents and her father, Lionel Weber.

Those left to carry on her memory include her husband, Matt Matson of McCook, NE; mother, Shari (Dennis) Youngs of McCook, NE; daughter, Haley Webb of Washington State; sons, Tanner Matthies and Jaret (Kyle) Matson, both of McCook, NE; grandchildren, Tucker Ebert and Della Matson; sister-in-law, Shari (Bob) Anderson of McCook, NE; brothers-in-law, Bill (August) Matson and Tim Matson, both of McCook, NE; her dog-babies, Jase and Baylee; as well as extended family and countless friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, April 1, 2023 at Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook, Nebraska with Pastor Terry McCorkle officiating.  Cremation will follow the services and a private family inurnment will take place at a later date.

Memorials are suggested to the family of Stacey Matson for future designation.
