NORTH PLATTE, Neb. — Farmers, agricultural professionals and anyone interested in precision agriculture are invited to attend the University of Nebraska–Lincoln's Testing Ag Performance Solutions (TAPS) field day on Monday, July 7, at the West Central Research, Extension and Education Center in North Platte.

The free event begins at 3 p.m. and will give current TAPS participants, along with those interested in learning more about the program, the opportunity to tour research plots, evaluate crop conditions and discuss management strategies for the 2026 growing season.

The TAPS program is a farm management competition and research initiative that allows participants to test management decisions in a low-risk environment while exploring new technologies aimed at improving profitability and resource-use efficiency.

The field day will include guided plot visits, technology demonstrations and discussions covering irrigation, nitrogen management and other in-season production decisions. Participants will also receive a market outlook and update for the 2026 crop year.

The event will conclude with a social gathering and barbecue at Pals Brewing Company, located at 4520 S. Buffalo Bill Ave. in North Platte.

There is no cost to attend, but advance registration is encouraged at go.unl.edu/nptaps.
