NORTH PLATTE, Neb. — A portion of East Philip Avenue will be closed beginning Thursday as crews replace a manhole as part of a City of North Platte sewer project.
According to the city, Midlands Contracting will close East Philip Avenue between Bryan Avenue and Devco Avenue starting Thursday, July 16, with the closure remaining in place until the project is complete.
During construction, no traffic will be allowed on East Philip Avenue between McCabe Avenue and Devco Avenue. Motorists should plan to use alternate routes and follow the posted detour around the work zone.
City officials are asking drivers to use caution when traveling near the construction area and to obey all traffic signs and barricades for the safety of both workers and the public.
The North Platte Sewer Department thanked residents in advance for their patience and cooperation while the work is completed.
Anyone with questions about the project can contact the City of North Platte Sewer Department at (308) 535-6740.
