
Amy L. Corter, 50, of North Platte, passed away on August 10, 2023, at Azria Health, in Sutherland. She was born to William and Marilyn (Ehmen) Corter on October 13, 1972, in Beatrice, NE.
Amy was raised in the Harvard and Lexington area, graduating from Lexington High School in 1991. She married Jessie Gomez shortly after school on June 7, 1991, in Lexington. Amy had a daughter, Tena, in 1998. She worked at the Opportunity Center in Lexington for several years, taking care of the residents. She also worked in customer service at various different restaurants. After moving to North Platte, she went to work at the North Platte Opportunity Center.
She loved to karaoke and dance, she specifically loved country music. She was a collector of ceramic trinkets, especially angels and unicorns. Amy made sure to decorate for every season and holiday.
Survivors include her daughter, Tena Jefferson; grandchildren, Averie and Elijah Jefferson, Maverick Biere, and Paisley Scott; significant other, Tom Burger; other family and so many friends.
Preceding her in death are her parents, William and Marilyn.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
