March 20, 2025 (North Platte, Neb.) — Weather permitting, work will resume March 25 on Jeffers Street in North Platte, near the Francis Street, and B Street intersections, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
Paulsen, Inc., of Cozad, is the contractor for this project. Finish work to complete the project includes concrete pavement, sidewalk and ADA ramps, seeding, and sodding. Traffic will be maintained with single lane closures. Anticipated completion is May 2025.
The purpose of this project is to preserve the transportation asset, improve the reliability of the transportation system and perpetuate the mobility of the traveling public.
Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and to put phones down.
