Eagle Radio once again has been recognized for its outstanding work on the air within its Nebraska radio footprint. At the annual Nebraska Broadcasters Association virtual awards ceremony recently, the company took home three awards for programming in radio broadcasting.
North Platte radio stations KELN/KNPQ/KOOQ were honored with two Gold Awards; On-Air Announcer Scott Carlson in the Community Service category for his interview with a Callaway senior whose school year ended early due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The second Gold honor was awarded in the Best Promotional Announcement category for the stations’ Carrie Underwood Codeword Contest Giveaway promo, which was produced by Program Director Dave Lee.
Chadron radio station KQSK was honored with a Bronze Award. Sports Director Dave Collins earned his third award over the last five years in the Best Sportscast category; it’s his fifth overall as a member of the Eagle Radio team since joining the stations in 2015.
