
Harold L. Fisher, 78, of North Platte, died January 20, 2021, at Great Plains Health in North Platte. Harold was born February 05, 1942, in Paxton, NE, to Herman and Viola (Jennings) Fischer. He grew up in Paxton where he also attended school. On October 24, 1963 he married Catherine Fahnholz. To this union one daughter, Diane, was born.
He was a cowboy for 23 years, then he went to driving a feed truck for a feedlot. Harold enjoyed being a “Papa” and “Great Papa”, watching the Husker’s playing football with his family and friends.
Survivors include sister-in-law, Bertha Fischer, North Platte; son-in-law, Wayne Hall, Stapleton, NE.; grandchildren Brittany (Ian Anderson) Caudillo, Crawford, NE., Nicole Caudillo, North Platte, Valerie (Dequan) Navarrete, North Platte, Cassandra (Eric) Hall, Idaho, Joseph Hall, North Platte, Cathleen (Grant) Krentz, North Platte; 14 great-grandchildren; special friends David (Brenda) Caudillo, North Platte, Rod (Cindy) Wheeler, North Platte, Valerie (Walt) Harrington, Peru, NE.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents; wife Catherine; daughter Diane Hall; 3 brothers, Terry, Ralph “Sonny” (Virginia) and Keith, sisters Mary Fischer and Ethel May (Frank) Valla.
The family would like to express a special “Thank you” to old friends and medical professionals that helped make Harold’s life better and more comfortable.
A memorial has been established in his memory; the family will designate at a later date.
Cremation was chosen. Graveside services will be held 1:00 P.M., (mountain time) Monday, December 13, 2021 at Paxton Cemetery, Paxton, NE. Adams and Swanson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
