Jeffrey Alan Pinkerton was born on December 16, 1970 to Judy Hendrix and Dennis Pinkerton at the Dundy County Hospital in Benkelman, Nebraska. He attended school in Benkelman, graduating from Dundy County High School with the class of 1989. Jeff furthered his education at McCook Community College, earning his associate degree in 1991.
Jeff lived his entire adult life in McCook, Nebraska. McCook is also where he met and married his wife, Kimberly (Wurm) Pinkerton. Jeff worked at McCook Community College for many years in the maintenance department; keeping things clean and running was a true passion. His love of working with his hands also transferred to his hobbies. Jeff would work on anything with a motor, especially motorcycles; he was happiest when repairing or riding any type of motorcycle. He could fix and build about anything, he was a good friend to have if you were working on a remodeling project! Jeff’s memory will live on in the countless woodworking and epoxy projects that he created for friends and family.
Jeffrey Pinkerton passed away at his home in McCook on Monday, March 18, 2024. He was 53 years of age.
He was preceded in death by his son, Clayton Pierson; as well as his grandparents, Harry and Bessie Hendrix.
Survivors include his wife, Kimberly of McCook; mother, Judy Aeby of Benkelman; daughter, Whitney (Isaac) Weyeneth; son, Chase (Mariah) Pierson; daughter, Kinsley (Corban) Gehle; grandchildren: Joshua, Micah, David, Hadassah, and Hannah Weyeneth and Sophia, Emma, and Maddyn Pierson; brothers, Barry (Jenniffer Morrison) Hendrix and Billy (Leslie) Aeby; and a sister, Stehanie Aeby.
Cremation was chosen and memorial services are scheduled for 1:30PM on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Peace Lutheran Church in McCook with Pastor Lonnie Felcher officiating. Burial in Memorial Park Cemetery of McCook will follow services.
