Johnnie R. Jones, age 69, of Trenton, NE, passed away at the Kearney Regional Hospital on March 14, 2022. He was born on May 1, 1952, in Stratton, NE to E.D. and Louise (Seybold) Jones. John grew up on a farm south of Swanson Lake. He graduated from Trenton High School with the Class of 1970. He continued his education at Lincoln Barber College, Lincoln, NE and worked many years as a hairstylist.
On June 4th, 1972, he was united in marriage to Judy Amann in Cambridge, NE. John enjoyed working with his hands. He was a great cook and loved hunting and fishing, especially with his boys and grandkids. He was a man of many talents and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, E.D. and Louise; son, Jesse; brother, Lloyd; parents-in-law, Max and Margaret Amann; brother-in-law, Steve Schliening.
John is survived by his wife, Judy; son, Travis and wife Karrie of Trenton; daughter-in-law, Sarah Jones of Viroqua, WI; five grandchildren, Sidney, Zack, Jessica, Emma, and Ty; two great grandsons, Oliver and Everett; sister, Jean and husband Jerry Brush; sisters-in-law, Teresa Brown, Sharon and husband Doug Pearson, Charlotte Schliening, Penny and husband Scott Monroe.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 21, 2022, at 10:00 AM at the United Methodist Church in Trenton with Pastor Alisa Parde officiating. Interment will be in the Rosefield Cemetery south of Trenton. Visitation will be held at Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel in Trenton on Sunday, March 20, 2022, from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M.
