
Delmer Lee Brass, age 74, of Brady, Nebraska, died August 3, 2020 in Brady, NE.
He was born on April 22, 1946 in Sargent, Nebraska, the son of Edwin M. and Ena (Worth) Brass. Delmer grew up in Sargent and graduated from Sargent High School. He then earned his Bachelors Degree from Kearney State College in Kearney, Nebraska. Delmer served his country in the U.S. Army and was honorable discharged in 1971. He married Carole Peterson on July 15, 1972 and they had a son, Christopher. Delmer lived in Kearney and McCool Junction before making his home in Gothenburg, Nebraska. He worked in construction for many years. He spend over 30 years working at the Co-Op in the farm store and fertilizer plant. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and puzzles. He enjoyed playing Fantasy Football and cards. Delmer loved his family and cherished his time spent hanging out with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his son, Christopher (Kati May) Brass of Brady, Nebraska; grandchildren, Trypp and Kiana; a sister, Barbara Strong; along with many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Delmer was preceded in death by his wife, Carole Brass in 2019; his parents; and his brothers, Ron, Ed, Larry, and Ken.
Visitation will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Gothenburg, Nebraska; Sunday, August 9, 2020, 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm.
Funeral Services will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, 620 Tenth Street in Gothenburg, Nebraska on Monday, August 10, 2020 at 11:00 am.
Delmer will be laid to rest with his wife in the Fort McPherson National Cemetery, Maxwell, Nebraska at a later date.
