
BIG SPRINGS, Neb. — Two people were arrested Friday morning after the Deuel County Sheriff’s Office and the Nebraska State Patrol SWAT Team executed a search warrant in Big Springs.
According to the Sheriff’s office, the warrant was served shortly after 9 a.m. at 604 Chestnut Street on November 14.
Deputies say Darrell Hyberg III, 26, and Taylor Grafford, 38, were taken into custody without incident. Both face multiple charges, including:
- Possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine)
- Possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Obstructing law enforcement
During the operation, South Platte School was placed on lockdown as a precaution. The sheriff’s office says the school was notified again once the scene was secure, and the lockdown was lifted.
The investigation remains ongoing.
