Since the first time she set foot on the NPHS gym floor, Peyton Neff knew she would be something special. After all, volleyball just came naturally to her, she was one of the few that "got it".
Four years later, she steps off the NPHS gym floor as one of the best players in school history helping take her team to the state tournament in a season that many thought would never get off the ground due to COVID raging around the globe.
Neff ends her career as a Bulldog playing all four years as setter and totaling over 2,100 assists, no small feat. She played under two different coaches and found success under both.
That success was noticed by a powerhouse D-2 program just down the street. The Lopers from UNK. Coming fresh off an appearance in the national tournament championship game, with their starting setter a senior this year, the door is wide open for Neff to show her skills at the next level.
Neff will also see a familiar face as she joins NPHS Alum Sami Mauch who has been playing as an outside hitter for the Lopers.
