Blaine Allen Hill passed away on March 12, 2022 at his home.  He was born October 4, 1954 to Allen and Janice Hill in Marysville, California.  Blaine started school in California and completed his education at Maywood High School in Maywood, NE in 1973.  Shortly after high school, he married Deb Schultz and to this union two sons were born; Justin (Jud) and Wade.  They later divorced.  Blaine met the love of his life, Britt Banzhaf, during the summer of 1993.  They married on March 6, 1999 and soon after, moved to Hayes County Nebraska and planted roots there.

Blaine moved to Nebraska in August of 1971 where he lived with Blaine and Elaine Farrar and their daughters.  Blaine was a hard worker and held many jobs in his lifetime.  From ranch hand to farming, to working for his sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Bob Stephens, at their drilling rig and sugar beet fields in California.  As well as the diesel shop at Union Pacific Rail Road and driving truck over the road.  He also worked in the road department of Hayes County, and finally, worked in the manure relocation department at Southwest Feeders along with Jason and Amanda Cox.  His all-time favorite job was hauling cattle, having many stories of places he went and the people he met.  Blaine was able to talk to anyone and had the most infections laugh that we will all miss dearly.

Blaine was very proud of the men that Jud and Wade have grown up to be, and of the lives they have chosen to create with their wives and children.  Allyson and Renee became the daughters he never knew he wanted and loved them to pieces.  The times spent talking and drinking a beer are some of his most treasured memories.  Watching his grandchildren grow made his heart happy. Their adventures made him laugh as only a grandpa could do. Booze cruising in the summer was a favorite pass time for Blaine and Britt, and their home place was where he always wanted to return to.

Blaine is survived by his wife of 23 years, Britt, of Hayes County, NE.  His children Jud and Allyson Hill and Wade and Renee Hill of North Platte, NE.  His grandchildren, Cooper and Rhodee Hill; Hadley and Houston Hill and Payton and Payslee Jones all of North Platte, NE.  His sisters, Vicky Tabarango of Eucalyptus Grove, CA and Joan Stephens of Robbins, CA.  His step mom, Marilyn Hill of Gridley, CA; step sister Nancy Davis of Gridley, CA and step brother John (Patty) Newcomb of Bloomfield, CO.  His mother-in-law, LaVonne Banzhaf of Cambridge, NE; sister-in-law Kelly (Tom) Tirrill of McCook, NE and brother-in-law Justin Banzhaf of Cambridge, NE.  Close friends Heath and Michelle Lapp of Hayes County, NE and numerous friends, some of which took care of him at UNMC.  He loved you all!!

He was preceded in death by his father, Allen Hill; mother, Janice Marqua; father-in-law, Arlo Banzhaf; brother-in-law, Bob Stephens; step sister, Sharron Ganzales and some fun-loving friends from back in the day.

Per Blaine's wishes, cremation was chosen and a Celebration of Life will be held at 4492 South Homestead Rd, North Platte, NE on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 2:00pm.  Let's raise a bottle of ice-cold Coors Light, have fun telling stories, listen to good music and remember our One in a Million.
