Ramona Clark of North Platte was surrounded by her family when she passed away at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney on May 8, 2024, at age 74.
Ramona, the daughter of Seferino and Helen Martinez, was born February 8, 1950, in North Platte where she grew up and went to school. After high school she married Martin Sellers in 1969. They had 5 kids and later divorced. On June 18, 1986, Ramona married Rick Clark and they were together for 36 years when he passed away in 2022.
Ramona first started working at the Pawnee Hotel then Linden Manor, PremDoor Company and later was a custodian for N.P.P.S. After retiring from the school system, Ramona had more time to do what she loved, spending time with her grandkids, going to church at the West End Chapel and singing! She also enjoyed gardening.
Ramona leaves behind her children, Lisa Stark (K.C.), Deloris Sellers (Mathew), Michael Sellers (Minerva) and Martin Sellers (Sharon), all of North Platte and LoriAnn Dalby (Gary) of North Carolina; her siblings, Jessie Martinez (Vicki) and Julie Holiday (Bob) of North Platte; 18 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and other family.
Along with her husband, Rick, Ramona was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Crespin, Benny, Domingo, Sibio and Simon Martinez; her sister, Dorothy Ponce; and son, Martin Sellers.
Celebration of Ramona's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 15, at Odean Colonial Chapel. Inurnment will be at 3 p.m. at Fort McPherson National Cemetery.
