
Rebecca (Becky) Lynn Schultz, age 63, of North Platte passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at her home.
Becky was born February 15, 1959, in Lincoln, Kansas to Charles (Bob) and Vera Callihan. Becky’s family lived in Kansas until her they moved to Wellfleet, Nebraska when she was in 6th grade. Becky married Randy Schultz and raised three boys in North Platte. They later divorced. Becky reunited with Les Hazen (a childhood friend from Wellfleet) and they have been together for the last 12 years. Becky worked at Perkins Restaurant for 30 years as the night manager. In 2019, she retired.
Becky loved the outdoors especially camping and fishing. She had many hobbies including jewelry making, collecting crystals and old buttons. Becky loved to play games with friends and family. Her favorites being cards and the board game “Sorry” (the meanest game ever). Her dogs Coco and Ivey were her babies. She would take them with her whenever she could. Becky loved her family and was always thinking of their needs.
Becky is survived by her loving partner Les Hazen and two sons William Schultz (Jessie) and Nicholas Schultz (Nicole) all of North Platte; two sisters Terry Duffield (Tom) of Chappell, NE and Deborah Carlson (Troy) of North Platte; one brother Robert Callihan (Denise) of Oshkosh, Ne her father Charles (Bob) Callihan of Lemoyne, Ne; and numerous nieces, nephews and loved ones.
Becky was preceded in death by her son Lucas Schultz and her mother Vera Callihan.
Services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 6, at Adam and Swanson’s Funeral home in North Platte. With Celebration of Life held at the Moose Lodge immediately following the service. Family burial will take place at a later date. Book signing will be from 9 – 5, Friday at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home who is in charge of arrangements.
