The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners is set to address a range of routine business and infrastructure-related items during its upcoming meeting on Monday, May 4, at the Lincoln County Courthouse in North Platte.
Commissioners will convene at 9 a.m. in the courthouse’s Commissioners Room, beginning with an opening prayer and approval of minutes from the April 27 meeting. A public comment period will follow, allowing residents an opportunity to address the board.
Among the key items on the agenda is consideration of claims and treasurer’s receipts, along with a proposed zoning change. The board will review Resolution No. 2026-14, which would amend the county’s official zoning map by rezoning a tract of land in the southwest quarter of Section 15, Township 13 North, Range 31 West. The request seeks to change the designation from an agricultural district to a rural estates district.
At 9:15 a.m., the board will recess and reconvene as the Lincoln County Board of Equalization. In that capacity, members will consider approval of prior meeting minutes, hear public comment, and review certificates of correction and refund submitted by the county assessor.
Following adjournment of the equalization board, commissioners will resume their regular meeting. At approximately 9:20 a.m., discussion is scheduled on equipment purchases for the Lincoln County Department of Roads, including a bottom dump trailer and a truck box.
The agenda also includes the possibility of a closed session, if necessary, to discuss matters such as litigation strategy, real estate transactions, security considerations, or personnel evaluations. The meeting will conclude with reports from elected officials, department heads, and commissioners’ committee updates.
As noted in the agenda, the board reserves the right to take items out of order and to enter closed session at any time if needed.
