Jordan (JC) Edward Collins, 25, of North Platte passed away suddenly December 13, 2021 at Bryan East Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska.  On March 21, 1996, Jordan Edward Collins was born after what seemed like forever to Sid and Vicki Collins.  He joined his brothers, Jonathan and Joshua and was followed by his one and only sister JoAnna, and younger brother Josiah.
Jordan attended Cody Elementary, Madison Middle School, and NPHS.  He got his GED halfway through his junior year to complete his education.  JC loved football and had big dreams until his ankles said no more.  He turned to music and was an amazing artist, Jay Everest.  JC loved to laugh and make others laugh.  He loved being a dad and was one of the very best.  The last three years have been the most difficult without Tyson, but reuniting with him was the best of times.
Jordan is survived by his parents, Sid and Vicki Collins; son, Tyson Collins; siblings, Joshua, JoAnna (Kayson), Josiah and Jonathan (Dawn) Collins; grandmothers, Carolyn Edwards and Mary Lou Sheets; nieces, Annie and Adrienne Collins; aunts and uncles, Delaine (Scott) Maxon, Stefanie Edwards, Eileen Olsen, Franklin (Penny) Collins, Nathan Collins, Iva (Wayne) Busboom, Lester (Karie) Sheets and Warren (Kelli) Sheets; cousins, Devon, Danae, Dane, Tyler, Jasmine, Daniel, Jesse, Amanda, Heather, Ty, Amber, Regina, Kay Lynn, Jessica, Chelsie, Lucas, Camron and Jaylee and their families.  Also surviving are numerous other family members; such as chosen family Marshall, Samantha, Isaac and Lily Clark; closest friends, Tyler, Mia, CJ, Mercedes and Zech.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Ronnie Edwards, Franklin Collins and Jim Sheets; aunt, Cindy Collins; and the greatest dog in the world, LowKey.
JC was bigger than life and knew it.  His capacity for making people love him is unprecedented.  He effected people deeply and when he had confidence in you, you felt like you could do anything.  Our hearts are missing a JC size piece that will never be replaced.  His legacy of greatness will live on from his gift of organ donation and medical research.
Memorial Services will be held on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. at The Salvation Army, 1020 N Adams, North Platte, NE.  The guest book will be available for signing from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at The Salvation Army.  The family requests donations to a memorial account at Great Western Bank to help with expenses, with the majority to be saved for his son, Tyson as a college/life fund.
Online condolences and sharing of memories may be expressed to the family at www.carpentermemorial.com.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Carpenter Memorial Chapel.
