
Delbert T. Greeley, age 89, of North Platte, NE passed away November 17, 2020 at home. He was born on January 20, 1931 at North Platte to William Ted Greeley and Orpha E. (Powell) and grew up in North Platte.
He entered the United States Navy on May 31, 1949 and was honorably discharged on June 2, 1950.
Delbert was united in marriage to Dorothy Pebley on October 13, 1950.
He was a member of The North Platte Baptist Church, VFW, Eagles Club, American Legion and Moose Lodge.
Delbert is survived by grandsons, Joshua Greeley, Todd Roberts, James Evan, Shawn Scott and Cody Scott; granddaughters, Dawn Marie Briesch, Heather (Greg) Smolik, Dezarae Greeley; daughters-in-law, Linda Greeley and Kathy Greeley; son in law, Michael Scott; sister-in law, Sarah “Ginny” Harold ; several great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephew and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Dorothy; sons, Dale and Dee and daughter, Kathy.
Graveside Memorial Services will be 9:30a.m.on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Fort McPherson National Cemetery in Maxwell, Nebraska with Full Military Honors. Pastor Bill Reeves of the North Platte Baptist church will be officiating.
Memorials may be made to the family for later designation. Services will be held following all current health directives regarding Covid-19. The service will be streamed via Carpenter Memorial Chapel’s Facebook page for those that cannot attend. Carpenter Memorial Chapel is entrusted with arrangements.
