Each year, NHA member hospitals and health care systems select one person from  their organization to be recognized at the NHA’s annual convention.

"Amy demonstrates a strong, informal leadership style that naturally draws the respect  of her colleagues," said Matt Sellers, pharmacy director at Great Plains Health. "She  leads by example, particularly when solving complex problems for patients and our  team."

Beyond her role as Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator, Childers serves as medication  safety officer and Epic credentialed trainer. Known for her patient-centered approach,  she consistently advocates for medication safety protocols that have improved  outcomes throughout the hospital.

"Amy routinely goes above and beyond her responsibilities," said Danelle Franzen,  chief operating officer. "Great Plains Health is fortunate to have such a dedicated  professional whose teamwork and commitment to excellence elevate our entire  organization."

Nearly 3,000 of Nebraska's most caring and dedicated hospital and health system  employees throughout the program's history. Childers joins this esteemed group of  professionals who represent the heart of health care in communities throughout the  state.
