Arlene M. Jepsen, 95, of North Platte, Nebraska passed away March 5, 2024 at Linden Court in North Platte. She was born on August 19, 1928, to Guy and Mabel (Jenkins) Magnuson in a sod house south west of Stapleton, Nebraska.

She had 8 siblings, Millie, Lloyd, Evelyn, Doris, Raymond, Elaine, Ronnie and Charlotte. She attended K - 10th grade at Stapleton School. Arlene was united in marriage to Martin Clinton Jepsen on November 5, 1947 in Payette, Idaho. She worked various jobs including, farm wife, Riteway Laundry in North Platte, TRW in Ogallala, Family Restaurant, 6th Street Processing Plant from 1965-1985, 6th Street Food Store for 2 years and Johnny’s Custom Pack for several years. Arlene lived in Stapleton, North Platte, and Curtis, Nebraska; Oregon, Idaho, California, Casper and Glenrock, Wyoming. She enjoyed fishing and camping, word scrambles and had a special love for all babies. She loved choosing names for the babies.

Arlene was a volunteer for RSVP for 25 plus years. She was a member of the 1 st Lutheran Church in North Platte.

Arlene is survived by her son, Willis L. (Marlys), Jepsen; daughter, Cori (Dave) McGinn; grandchildren; Jennifer (PJ) Jepsen, Jennifer (Dan) Anthony, Jessica (Jim) Einspahr, Joanna (Jon) Knapp; great- grandchildren, Charlie Erny, Jake (Jori) Anthony, Paige Anthony, Jenna Erny, Alison Einspahr, Ava Einspahr, Jack Knapp, Karly Knapp, Jona Knapp and Vanessa Knapp; sister, Elaine (Byron) Barner; along with numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Guy & Mabel Magnuson; husband, Martin Clinton Jepsen in 1999; siblings, Ronnie, (8 months old) in 1938, Lloyd (WW2 1944), Millie, Evelyn, Raymond, Doris, Charlotte; special friend, Everett Zierlein; sister-in-laws; Laura Leaf, Viola Dickenson, Beverly Kelly.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 A.M., Friday, March 8, 2024 at 1st Lutheran Church, with Rev. Patrick Sipes officiating. Burial will follow the service at 11:00 A.M., at Fort McPherson National Cemetery, south of Maxwell, Nebraska. Visitation will be from noon – 7, with family receiving friends, from 5-7, Thursday, March 7, at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
