Notice is hereby given that the North Platte Quality Growth Fund Citizens Review LB840 Committee of the City of North Platte, Nebraska will hold a public meeting at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 19, 2021. The North Platte City offices will be the host site for the meeting at 211 West 3rd, North Platte.
In addition, the City of North Platte Quality Growth Fund Citizens Review LB840 Committee will meet as the Northwestern Energy Economic Development Fund Committee that also includes a representative of Northwestern Energy.
The purpose of both meetings will be for review and recommendation regarding the application of Sustainable Beef LLC seeking grant funds to help facilitate the preliminary steps of a proposed $325 million project a beef processing plant seeking to locate in North Platte. The grant application would seek matching funds from both the Northwestern Energy Economic Development Fund and the LB840 Quality Growth Fund.
After action is taken by both governmental entities, a separate agenda item will be held before the Quality Growth Fund Committee on the proposed industrial rail park development near Hershey, NE. Other agenda items may be added.
I hereby certify that the above Notice of Meeting was published in the North Platte Telegraph and posted in public view at three public places, including the city offices of North Platte, city library and Lincoln County Courthouse, in accordance with the public meeting notice requirements of the Nebraska Open Public Meetings Act.
