The Wilson Public Library in Cozad continues to monitor the public health emergency situation. In light of lower numbers in Dawson County, the Library Board has approved the following changes beginning February 15, and regular policies as well as our Public Health Emergency Program can be found on our website at www.wilsonpubliclibrary.org under Policies.

Monday-Friday: 10:00AM – 6:00PM
Saturday: 10:00am-1:00pm
AS OF FEBRUARY 15
• If you have been sick or running a fever in the past two weeks, we ask that you please wait until you are symptom-free before using the library.
• All patrons entering the library are asked to use hand sanitizer prior to entering the main area. If you prefer to use our restrooms to wash your hands rather than use hand sanitizer, you may do so.
• Appointments
are no longer required for public computer access. Per policy, 30
minute timeslots will still be enforced unless patrons need extra
time to apply for jobs, do taxes, or file for unemployment. Please
tell staff upon entrance that you need extra time. Masks are required
in the computer lab with 3 maximum at a time in the room. Headphones
are not available at this time.
• Wearing a mask is encouraged
for patrons. All staff will wear masks or shields and potentially
gloves.
• Please practice social distancing while in the library. Staff are unable to assist patrons on personal devices if the patron is not wearing a mask.
• In-person programming has resumed, although there may be registration, limits set to how many can attend, and masks and/or social distancing may be required. Check our Facebook page under events to see specific information.
• Public and private meetings have resumed, with 24-hour notice appreciated. Limits to how many attendees, what equipment is available, and other restrictions can be found out by calling us at 308-784-2019 or stopping at the front desk. Normal policies about room rental can be found under Policies at www.wilsonpubliclibrary.org.
• Public Restrooms and Public Phones are only sanitized once per day; use at own risk.
• Outdoor wifi
is available as long as people social distance. Call us at 784-2019
for the password.
• Certain library materials are quarantined
upon return and may not be immediately available to check out.
• The library limits what is sanitized daily; use at own risk.
• A variety of online resources are available through the library’s website at www.wilsonpubliclibrary.org and our Wilson Public Library Facebook page.
The Wilson Public Library reserves the right to modify these restrictions based on Health Care Directives from Two Rivers District Health Department and/or City of Cozad Administration.
You are using the library at your own risk. The Wilson Public Library and the City of Cozad are not responsible if you contract the Coronavirus. We are taking precautions to protect our staff and our patrons and will continue to reopen in a phased manner.
