Irvin Hyatt (1931-2021)

     Irvin Hyatt, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, age 90, passed away at his home in Broken Bow, Nebraska on May 20, 2021.
     Irvin was born on February 15, 1931 to Ellis Willian and Susie Marie (Gremm) Hyatt.  He grew up east of Westerville, Nebraska on a farm and went to school K-8 at Clear Creek, and to High School at Broken Bow High.
     Irvin started farming in 1948.  Irvin was united in marriage to Marilyn Claire Benson on May 26, 1952.  The couple lived five and a half miles southeast of Westerville and farmed until 1995.  They became parents to two children:  William Martin and Vicki Lynn.
     Irvin committed his life to Jesus Christ as a young man.  He was baptized in the South Loup River on September 12, 1965.  Irvin and Marilyn enjoyed a home Bible Study group in the Westerville area for several years.
     Irvin was a loving husband, father and grandfather.  He was a hard-working man and his family was always well provided for.  He was a diversified farmer raising crops, cattle and hogs.
     Irvin is survived by his wife, Marilyn; his son, William Martin (Louanne) Hyatt; daughers, Vicky Lyn (Randy) Jenkins; grandchildren, Tyson (Tara) Hyatt, Trevor (Breanna) Hyatt, Allison (Ryan) Fritsche, Taylor (Laura) Hyatt, and Jared Jenkins twelve great-grandchildren with another one coming soon; and also his sister, Donna Keller of Buffalo, Wyoming and brother-in-law, John Swick of Burlington, Colorado.
     Ivin is preceded in death by his parents, Ellis & Susie Hyatt; and a sister, Joan Swick.
     Funeral services were on Saturday, May 22, 201 at Govier Brothers Chapel in Broken Bow, Nebraska with Craig Mills & Tyson Hyatt officiating.  Burial was in the Broken Bow Cemetery.
     Memorials are suggested to the Parkinson's Foundation in Irvin's name.
     Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow, Nebraska was entrusted with the arrangements.
