NORTH PLATTE, Neb. — The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners meets Monday with a mix of business on the agenda, including a public safety presentation and a local event request that could draw community interest.

Lt. Archuletta of the North Platte Fire Department will present Pulse Point, a mobile app that connects trained community members with nearby cardiac emergencies so lifesaving CPR can begin before first responders arrive. The program is designed to boost survival rates and strengthen local emergency response.

Commissioners will also consider a request from Feather River Vineyard for a special designated liquor permit. The permit would allow the winery to host a wine tasting event at The Milk House near Gothenburg later this month.

Other items up for discussion include infrastructure projects such as the North Sutherland Bridge Project, where an interpretive display panel is being developed, and a resolution supporting a federal grant to help replace rural bridges across Nebraska counties. The board will also weigh new appointments to the county’s planning commission and potential updates to its own rules and regulations for future meetings.

The meeting will be held at the Lincoln County Courthouse and livestreamed on the county’s YouTube channel.
