The Irish XC Boys and Girls competed in the Ravenna Invitational for the first time Thursday. The boys were runner up to Broken Bow and the Girls won the event by a few points over Ravenna.
Standout performances by freshman Jarrett Miles and sophomore Dax Connick who finished second seventh. Jarrett and the first place finisher both crushed the previous course record.
The girls were led by Junior Kate Stienike and Genna Blakely. Medalist in the hilly 5k event were:
Boys-jarrett Miles 2, Dax Connick 6, and Andrew Brosuis 19
Girls-Kate Stienike 2, Genna Blakely 4, Hayley Miles 13, and Madi Gifford 20.
The Irish run next Thursday in Ogallala.
