Timothy John Thompson, 59, of North Platte, Nebraska, passed away September 7, 2022 at his home in North Platte. Tim was born March 26, 1963 to Walter and Grace (Kamper) Thompson in North Platte.
Tim was raised in North Platte and graduated from North Platte High School with the class of 1981. He attended Mid Plains Community College. Tim was very kind and always goofy. He enjoyed fishing and camping, but most of all he loved Husker football. He also liked going on cruises, traveling and hot air ballooning. Tim loved his family.
Tim married Becky Neth Thompson on September 1, 1984. To this union Colby was born. On February 2, 2002, Tim married Tracy Lewis and gained four children: Bart, Taylor, Jericca, Taron.
Tim is survived by his wife, Tracy; children, Colby Thompson, Bart Minnick, his children Ezrah, Zericka, Ezrael; Taylor (Jordan) Lewis their child Nellie; Jericca Lewis (Johnathon Brougham) their child Jax; Taron (Jenae) Lewis and their child Leighton; mother, Grace (Thompson) Schutte; sister Barb Butterfield; brothers Jerry Thompson, Rich (Mardell) Thompson; father-in-law Dwayne Olson; sister and brother-in-law’s, Laurie (Mike) Horn, Theresa (Dave) Opfer; brother-in-law, Travis (Dana) Minnick; step siblings, Gloria Eki and Dennis Schutte. Along with many other family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Walter Thompson; grandparents George (Alma) Kamper, Theodore (Lucille)Thompson; grandparent’s in-law, Milton (Wanda) Winkelman; mother-in-law, Marylee Olson; step-father, Herb Schutte; brother-in-law Bob Butterfield and cousin Steve Shafer.

Services will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home with Pastor Rob Holliday officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Visitation will be held noon – 7, Friday, September 9, with family present from 5 -7, at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home who is in charge of arrangements. The service will be live streamed via the Adams & Swanson web page www.adamsswanson.com for those unable to attend.
