The National Weather Service in North Platte has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Southwestern Garden County in the panhandle of Nebraska until 145 PM MDT.
At 846 AM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include Intersection of Highway 27 and 9 Mile Road. This includes the following streams and drainages near North Platte River, Lost Creek and Rush Creek.
