
Dorothy Helen Ingram of Cozad, Nebraska passed away on Friday, December 25, 2020 at Emerald Care Center in Cozad at the age of 100. Dorothy was born on September 27, 1920 in Cozad, Nebraska to Raymond and Hattie Scott. She grew up in Cozad and lived their all her life.
She met the love of her life, Leo, who she called "Beetle" in their younger years, in Cozad. They were married on July 4, 1939. Dorothy was a stay-at-home mother to her sons while Leo worked as the office manager of the Hay Mill in Cozad. They were married 66 years before Leo's passing.
Dorothy had been active in the Cozad United Methodist Church and Women's Circle. One of her favorite things to do was to talk on the phone with her friends and family, catching up. Saturday nights were always reserved for a dinner out at the Elk's Club for her & Leo.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Leo; two sons, Jimmy and Tom Ingram; two brothers, Jack and Bob Scott; and a grandson, Patrick Ingram.
She is survivied by her sons Doug (Mary) Ingram of Cozad, Nebraska and Richard (Carol) Ingram of South Carolina; a daughter-in-law, Patsy Ingram of Katy, Texas; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
Cremation was chosen. A memorial service for Dorothy, along with her son, Thomas, who passed away on December 22, 2020 in Katy, Texas, will be held at a later date.
