Rose Marie Drake (1931-2021)

     Rose Marie Drake, age 90, of Sargent, Nebraska passed away on May 6, 2021 at her home in Sargent.  
     A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, May 10, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Moulton Cemetery near Almeria, Nebraska.  A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 9, 2021 from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow, Nebraska.  Govier Brothers Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.  An online guest book may be signed at www.govierbrothers.com.
     Rose Marie Drake was born on January 17, 1931 in Milburn, Nebraska to Earl and Ula (Holmes) Cochran.  Rose attended Country School at Madison Square, and then graduated from Taylor High School in 1948.  In June of 1948, Rose married Clyde Alan Drake.  The couple made their home in Sargent, Nebraska.
     Rose was a Cub Scout Leader for many years.  Rose always had an extra plate at the dinner table, or bed for a child in need, or a place to stay.  Rose enjoyed sewing baby quilts and giving them to anyone with a newborn.  Rose was a very caring person, always willing to help anyone in need.
     Rose is survived by her sons, Mike (Wanda) Drake of Sargent, Nebraska and Scott (Kelly) Drake of Broken Bow, Nebraska; her daughter, Gayelynn Felker of Sargent, nebraska; five grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.
     Rose is preceded in death by her husband, Clyde; her parents, Earl & Ula Cochran; a daughter, Clydean; and one brother and one sister.
