Morris Eugene Taylor, 72, of North Platte, Nebraska passed away on August 15, 2022 at his home. Morris was born July 27, 1950 to Melvin E. and Patricia J. (Close) Taylor, in Sterling, Colorado.
Morris moved with his family to S.W. Denver, Colorado when he was 8 years old. He graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1969. Then he worked as a cook at a Mexican restaurant called Ramone’s, where he met Kathleen Sue. He was married to Sue on August 19, 1972 in Arvada, Colorado. To this union three children were born: Heather, Meghan and Sean. He met Marie Walker and they shared over 20 years together, living in Denver, Arkansas and Florida. Moe worked at Smurfit Stone Box Plant as a press operator for 38 years. He and his crew held several company records for highest production at the plant. He was very proud of their accomplishments. Moe retired in 2011. He enjoyed going on cruises, enjoyed genealogy, was a history buff (especially WW2), loved to read, but loved his kids above all else. Eating Mexican food and watching cartoons was a favorite pastime, especially “How to Train Your Dragon & Luca.” Moe will always be remembered for his giant personality, boisterous laugh and being the class clown. He always wanted to write a book. He worked hard for his family to show his love.
Moe is survived by his children, Heather (Phillip) Horn, North Platte, Meghan (Justin) Amy, Corry, Pennsylvania, and Sean Taylor, North Platte; grandchildren, Angel Taylor, Lincoln, Nebraska, Kohl Taylor, North Platte, Logan Amy, and Lilly Amy, Corry, Pennsylvania; and special friend Marie Walker, Deltona, Florida; brother, Brian Taylor, Denver, Colorado.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Patricia Taylor.
