Marvin “Marv” William Schildhauer of North Platte, NE, passed away at the age of 60 on Wednesday, August 22, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loved ones after an aggressive battle with cancer.
Marv was born on April 4, 1964 in Alliance, NE to Marvin and Patricia Schildhauer. He was raised in Whitman, NE on the original Rex Ranch with his sister Patricia “Trish”. Marv graduated high school from Hyannis High School in 1983.
Marv was so passionate about riding his Harley and fishing with his favorite people. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. It didn’t matter what he was doing, if someone needed help, he would drop whatever he was doing and be there to help.
Marv is survived by his wife Lesa; daughters, Kayce (James) Richardson, Shelby Schildhauer, Rebecca, Christina Ashley DeCent, and Daynlee Miller; mother, Patricia Schildhauer; sister, Trish (Kevin) Valentine; grandchildren, Noah, Dominick, Willow, Aiden, Cali, Jayce, Kyla, Jason, Silas, Ashlynn, Remy, Greyson; nieces, Echoo Valentine, Jess Shaw; special brothers, Nate Yancy, JT Thompson, Dennis Smith, Bruce Moe; numerous other family members and many friends.
Preceding him in death were his father, Marvin Schildhauer; mother-in-law, Yvonne Hiatt; uncles, Gerald and Wayne Schildhauer.
Cremation was chosen and a private family celebration will be held at a later date.
