
Arthur C. “Chuck” Moon, 82, of Brady, Nebraska, passed away February 15, 2022 at Great Plains Health in North Platte, Nebraska. He was born April 12, 1939 in Denver, Colorado to Arthur and Mable (Ferree) Farmer and later adopted by Jay Moon.
Chuck grew up in Denver, after graduating from high school he served in the U.S. Army. He was united in marriage to Emma Cawthra in Ft. Lupton, Colorado. To this union two children were born: Patty and Charles. The family moved to North Platte, where Chuck worked as an auto mechanic for Joe Dye Ford for 30-plus years and then at Ellett’s Automotive for another five years before retiring. You could always find Chuck in his garage working on some type of vehicle. He loved to tinker on anything to make it go faster, especially his lawn mowers, his favorite pastime was racing lawn mowers. He enjoyed attending his granddaughter's events through her school years and spending time with his great-grandson and his family. He was a lifetime member of the V.F.W.
Chuck is survived by his wife Emma, Brady, Nebraska; daughter, Patty (Jim) Young, Brady, Nebraska; son, Charles Moon, Gothenburg, Nebraska; brother, Jay (Sharon) Moon; sisters, Sandy (Roger) Anderson and Jimmy Borland; granddaughter, Samantha (Tyson) Geisler, North Platte, Nebraska, 4 other grandchildren; 1 great-grandson, Dustin Arthur Geisler, 4 other great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, February 22, 2022, 11:00 A.M., at Fort McPherson National Cemetery, Maxwell with Rev. Ann Durborow officiating, with military honors.
