Mid-Plains Community College is hosting two winter blood drives, giving community members a chance to help save lives.

McCook Community College: The first blood drive will be held Tuesday, January 27, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the MCC Student Union, located at 1202 East 3rd Street.

North Platte Community College: A second drive is scheduled for Thursday, January 29, from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the concession area of the McDonald-Belton Building on the NPCC South Campus at 601 W. State Farm Road.

Donors of all blood types are encouraged to participate. Each donor will receive a $20 gift card as a thank-you. Walk-ins are welcome, or appointments can be made using the Red Cross Blood Donor App or by calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).

Please bring a blood donor card, driver’s license, or two other forms of identification to check in.
