Wallace, NEB. - According to Nebraska State Patrol officials, at approximately 1:00 p.m. Monday, NSP was called to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 23 near Wallace. Upon arrival, troopers located a Ford F-150 and a semi that had collided. Preliminary investigation shows that the westbound F-150 crossed the center line into the eastbound lane. 

The eastbound semi driver attempted to drive onto the shoulder to avoid the collision, but the two vehicles collided in the eastbound lane. The driver of the F-150, James Armbruster, 73, of Wauneta,  was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the semi was not injured.
