Glen Allen Johnston, age 91, of North Platte, died December 16, 2022 at Centennial Park. He came into the world as the New Year's baby, January 3, 1931 in North Platte to Alvin and Martha (Pope) Johnston. He departed this world being remembered as the best dad, brother, and grandpa.
He was a jack-of-all trades, and his favorite jobs were being a driver for Herman Transportation, and retiring with 32 years of service at Wally McKay Motors. Glen served his country in the 50’s, and as a proud conservative, he flew our country’s flag every day.
He met the love of his life Nellie (Tudy) Trisdale, and they literally ran off together creating one of the most epic love stories of this century. He accepted her son Anthony Spangler as his own and created four other children together: Glen “Skeeter” Jr., Eddie, Judy, and Glenda.
Glen loved to tell his life’s stories. He enjoyed playing pool, and his opponents were not only his kids, and brother in law Marlin Trisdale, but he also played and taught his grandkids Phillip (Stephanie)Johnston, Shelly (Kelly) Barnhill, Sarah (Dale Keeney) Pafford, Aciesa Purvis, Shakura (Chad) Adams, Destiny (Ivan) Domingus, Shalyn Bergan, Eddie “Spud”, and Allen (Deseree) Johnston.

He was most proud of his 27 great grandkids whom he helped grow into good humans, knowing he helped mold them and teach them patience and understanding. He was also blessed to see the next generation and youngest of his legacy leaving 12 great-great grandkids.

Glen is survived by his step son, Tony; daughters Judy and Glenda; sisters, Eunice Wollcotte, Evelynn Goings, and Elma Jean; brothers, Albert Johnston, and Marlan, and Harry Trisdale; sister-in-laws, Mary White and Sue Hackler; and many grandchildren; and great and great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Tudy; sons Skeeter and Eddie; parents; brothers, Stirrup, Joseph, Theodore, Phillip, Francis, Elmer Dean Johnston, and Bob Goings; sisters, Alvie Downing, Wanda Reutzel, Ethel Plaster, and Joann Hiatt.
