2 men, 3 juveniles accused of firing guns from vehicle in Lincoln County

NORTH PLATTE, Neb.-Local law enforcement made several arrests after it was reported that occupants of a vehicle were firing guns out of the window in rural Lincoln County.

According to the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, on September 7, 2020 at 5:25 p.m., the Lincoln County 911 Center received a report of a vehicle traveling on East State Farm Road. The occupants of the vehicle were shooting guns out the window while the vehicle was in motion.

A description of the vehicle was given to all area law enforcement and the vehicle was located and stopped by North Platte Police Officers at B and Jeffers Street. Deputies arrived and found the vehicle was occupied by five young males. Deputies smelled burnt Marijuana inside the vehicle and searched it.

Deputies located two separate pistols in the vehicle, one of which was recently stolen in Brady, NE. A controlled substance was found in the vehicle as well. All five of the young men were arrested for various charges.

LCSO says 18-year-old North Platte resident Rocky J. Navarro was arrested and placed in the Lincoln County Detention Center for Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Child. 18-year-old North Platte resident Marcelles L. Sanchez-Rodriguez was arrested and placed in the Lincoln County Detention Center for Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Contributing to the Delinquency of a Child and Discharging a Firearm from the Roadway.

The other three males also from North Platte, NE. were under the age of eighteen. These three males were charged with multiple crimes to include; Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Discharging a Firearm from the Roadway, Use of a Firearm to Commit a Felony, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Uncontrollable Juveniles. The case remains under investigation and additional charges may follow.
