Bridgette Thompson
Bridgette Thompson died September 9, 2022, at her home in North Platte
following health problems. She was 40 years old.
Bridgette, the daughter of Peter and Gina Burke, was born in Rochester,
New York, on July 31, 1982. After living in Rochester her family moved
to Nebraska and lived in Gothenburg then North Platte. Bridgette
attended North Platte High School, where she graduated with the Class of
2000. She was a Pacer on the Pacer Dance Team, an Honor Roll student,
and a Class Officer.
On May 11, 2007, Bridgette married Ash Thompson in North Platte. They
separated in 2017, then Bridgette met Mike Putnam in 2020.
Bridgette worked at Nebraskaland Bank and Adams Bank & Trust then became Property Manager at Platte River Mall. She enjoyed painting, cooking, gardening, drawing, fishing, writing, and the color pink. She
especially liked to travel, the ocean at Del Ray Beach, Florida, was her
favorite place, but most of all Bridgette loved her children.
She is gone from us much too soon...but Bridgette will always be loved
and remembered by those she leaves behind.
She was preceded in death by her father, Peter Burke.
Bridgette leaves behind her children, Kiara Rector (Mark Ollie Odean),
Keagan Thompson and Kyler Thompson, grandson, Maverick Odean, and her
cat, Sassy; Ash Thompson and Mike Putnam; her brother, James Degnan,
Jr., sisters, Maria Burke and Tara Holmes, and mother, Gina Burke, all
of North Platte.
Celebration of Bridgette's life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday,
October 1, 2022, at Odean Colonial Chapel with Job Vigil officiating.
