Elmer Dale Alexander, age 75, of North Platte, Nebraska died November 30, 2020 at Great Plains Health. Elmer was born on October 01, 1945 in North Platte to Paul “Emery” and Violet (Bartholomew) Alexander.
Elmer worked at the UPRR as a machinist until he retired in 1998. He later worked for Mentzer Oil Company until 2018, driving a fuel truck. Elmer loved the game of golf. You could see him at his favorite course, Lake Maloney Golf Course, sometimes six days a week. He and Char enjoyed many great golf vacations. Wherever they went, the clubs were with them. Before Elmer was “introduced” to golf, he took his fishing very seriously. He still fit in some fishing, when he had a chance to teach his grandchildren the sport. Whether it was fishing, boating, golfing, or watching their sports, he loved his time with his grandchildren. Elmer was everyone’s handyman. He always had a project in the garage. He spent endless hours fixing or building something. Elmer always enjoyed visiting with his friends, and many times was the life of the party! He will be greatly missed by many.
Elmer is survived by his wife Char, son; Tim (Jennifer) Alexander, daughter; Tina (Matt) Bachman, step-daughter; Trina (Kevin) Brott, grandchildren; Zach Hodges, Emma Alexander, Rylee, Aaron and Mason Brott, Maya, Ava and Isla Bachman.
He was preceded in death by his wife; Reita, daughter; Lisa, one brother and four sisters.
