Elsie Smith, age 92, of North Platte, Nebraska passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at her home. She was born on October 12, 1928 to Burt & Mary (Tipton) Pasley in Kentucky.
She was united in marriage to Donlay Boyce Smith on September 5, 1953 and to this union 2 children were born: Janine Avalon on October 23, 1945 and Jeffery Boyce on March 2, 4957 in North Platte, Nebraska.
Elsie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and excellent cook that her family enjoyed.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Donlay on June 23, 1987; her parents and in-laws, Harold & Leita Smith; brother Will Pasley; brothers-in-law, Gordon (Sonnie) Smith and Drexel Smith.
Elsie is survived by her children, Janine and Jeffrey; granddaughters April Smith and Alisha Griesfeller; siblings, Velma Haddix and Pete Pasley; brother-in-law Blain (Juanita) Smith; and sister-in-law, Jean Smith.
Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 11, 2020 at Fort McPherson National Cemetery in Maxwell, Nebraska with Pastor Gary Smith officiating. Memorials may be made to the family and designated at a later date. The service will be live streamed via Carpenter Memorial Chapel's Facebook page for those that cannot attend.
