Governor Pillen Appointments Fudge & Dunn from area to State Boards and Commissions

LINCOLN, NE — May 7, 2025 — Governor Jim Pillen has announced a new round of appointments to various Nebraska state boards and commissions, made between December 31, 2024, and March 31, 2025. Among those selected are several individuals from western Nebraska, who will bring local representation to key state entities.

Edward Dunn of Grant has been appointed to the Nebraska Aeronautics Commission, where he will help oversee the state’s aviation policies and infrastructure development.

Sidney resident Steve Mattoon has been named to the Nebraska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, which regulates the exploration and production of oil and natural gas to ensure responsible resource development and environmental protection.

David Fudge of North Platte will join the Nebraska Tourism Commission, contributing to statewide efforts to promote tourism, boost local economies, and highlight Nebraska’s cultural and natural attractions.

Governor Pillen expressed confidence in the appointees, noting their professional experience and dedication to their communities.

“These individuals bring strong leadership and local insight to the table,” Pillen said. “Their service on these boards will help ensure Nebraska continues to grow, innovate, and represent the interests of all regions.”

The appointments are part of the governor’s ongoing commitment to filling state boards with qualified leaders from across Nebraska.
