Myron Bockus, age 62, of North Platte, Nebraska died January 14, 2021, at Centennial Park Retirement Village in North Platte.
Myron was born in North Platte to Wayne and Edy Bockus on March 4, 1958. He grew up in North Platte where he attended Washington Elementary and North Platte High School, graduating with the Class of 1977.
Myron worked as a custodian at North Platte High School until 2002. He also worked at various restaurants in town, most recently the Lincoln Highway Diner.
Myron was raised in the Baptist faith and had a love for his family. The Bockus family would often go out for an evening walk, his parents leading with sister Donna and Myron bringing up the rear, and end up on a neighbor's porch visiting for hours or until the sun went down. Then they headed for home.
Myron was preceded in death by his parents and sister. Survivors include his aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Cremation was chosen and Myron will be buried with his family in the Plainview Cemetery, near Maxwell, NE. Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore is in charge of arrangements.
