North Platte Public Schools is excited to announce Mr. Kyle Drake as our next Athletic Director, beginning July 1, 2026!
Kyle earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and later returned to UNK to complete his master’s degree in PreK–12 School Principalship in 2017. Kyle has spent the past three years as a 9–12 science teacher and coach at North Platte High School. Prior to that, he served as principal at Burwell Public Schools. He also brings classroom teaching experience, including sixth-grade science and reading at Kearney Public Schools and eighth-grade science at North Platte Public Schools. Kyle’s wife, Emily, is also an educator, and they are the proud parents of four children: Nora, Crew, Jett, and Mack.
Kyle is honored to serve North Platte Public Schools as Activities Director and looks forward to working with coaches, sponsors, families, and students to create opportunities for involvement, leadership, and pride in our schools and community.
