Dawson PPD Safety and Loss Prevention Coordinator Dean Kunkee Recognized for Excellence in Safety and Training

December 4, 2024 (Lexington, Neb.) – Dawson PPD Safety and Loss Prevention Coordinator Dean Kunkee was awarded the Nebraska Rural Electric Association (NREA) Jack McEnerney Award. The award is given annually to “an individual whose outstanding efforts in safety and training best exemplify the example set by Jack McEnerney.”

He was nominated by Dawson PPD General Manager Gwen Kautz, who wrote, “Dean exemplifies the qualities sought for the Jack McEnerney Award through his unwavering commitment to safety and his proactive efforts in advancing the safety program at NREA.”

Kunkee is responsible for Dawson PPD’s Safety Program and serves as Chair of the NREA Job Training and Safety Committee.
