James Aurelio Rivera, 69, of Hershey passed away October 26, 2023 at home. He was born on July 11, 1954 to Aurelio and Lucille (Orosco) Rivera in Omaha.
James grew up in Omaha and worked as a mechanic for many years. He moved to Hershey and worked as a mechanic in various places. He owned his own shop, Rivera’s Auto Repair. James will be remembered as very giving with his mechanical skills. He was always joking and laughing and was fun to be around. James enjoyed life and didn’t take things too seriously.
Survivors include wife, Belinda Rivera of Denver, CO; children, Denise Boyd of Elgin, IL, Juan Rivera of Wonder Lake, IL, Selina Rivera of Kentucky, Justin Dean of North Platte; grandchildren, Boston, Silas, and Remi Dean, Zoe Boyd, Jaxson Rivera, Kaylee McCann, Aria Rivera, Mya Freeman, Zacharia Freeman; siblings, Cathy Mann, Linda Smith, Raymond (Becki) Rivera, Arthur Rivera, John Rivera, James Alexander Rivera, Theresa (Doug) Berry, 4 nieces and 6 nephews.
Preceding him in death by his dad, Aurelio; mom, Lucille; sister, Beatrice Duff; brother-in-laws, Stephen Duff, Martin Mann, Brad Smith;

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday, November 3, 2023 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with Reverend Vidya Sagar Arikotla as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery at Hershey. Visitation will be held from noon – 7 P.M., with family receiving friends from 5-7, on Thursday, November 2 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home who is assisting the family with arrangements.
