Sanjuana "Jane" Sanchez, 82, of Lexington, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at her home in Lexington.
She was born on March 14, 1942, in Belle Fourche, South Dakota, to Elias Sanchez and Elvira Valenzuela.
Jane had a passion for sewing; a craft that allowed her to express her love and care for those around her. A dedicated scholar of her Bible, Jane's faith was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her through both trials and triumphs. Family also held a paramount place in her heart, and she often found joy in their company, nurturing relationships that spanned generations.
She is survived by her daughter, Julie Salas of Lexington, and her sons, John Trevino of Kearney and David Sanchez of Cozad. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Ricardo Sanchez, Veronica Sanchez, Jeremiah Salas, Keasha Martin, Damian Sifuentez, Rico Sifuentez, Tanya Sifuentez, and David Salamanca. Her brothers, Richard (Lucinda) Sanchez and Leo (Sally) Sanchez of Greeley, Colorado, along with her sisters, Susie Balderas and Marie Gonzalez, also of Greeley, Colorado. Jane also leaves behind numerous great-grandchildren who will carry forward her loving spirit.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Elias Sanchez and Elvira Valenzuela, and her brother, Joe Sanchez.
Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington, Nebraska with Elder Thomas McGregor, officiating. The service will be live-streamed via the Reynolds-Love Funeral Home Facebook Page.
