Chester Harold Tridle Jr., age 80, of North Platte, passed away on October 5, 2023, at Great Plains Health. He was born to Chester Harold and Lucille (Razes) Tridle Sr. on January 9, 1943, in North Platte.
Chester spent his entire life in North Platte, receiving his GED in 1961, just before enlisting in the United States Air Force. He served our country for four years before discharging in 1966. On May 13, 1966, he was married to Louise LeDroit in North Platte. The couple had two sons, James Leroy and Ronald Lee. Chester then hired on at the Union Pacific Railroad as a machinist. He worked in this position for 38 years and retired in 2003.
He was an outdoorsman to the core, enjoying camping, fishing, and hunting. He was well liked by many of his coworkers at the railroad. Chester was always quiet and mild mannered until one of his morals were crossed. He was most proud of his service in the Air Force. Chester was a volunteer fireman in North Platte for 20 years and he helped establish and participated in the first Fire Rescue Dive Team.
Those surviving Chester includes his wife, Louise of North Platte; children, James “Jim” Tridle of North Platte and Ronald Tridle of Fremont; grandkids, Marilese (Troy) Robertson of Trenton, MO, Brooke, Ashtyn, and Hunter Tridle all of Omaha; brother, Larry (Susie) Tridle of Omaha; several nieces, nephews, and other family.
Preceding him in death are his parents; siblings, Patricia Speck, Robert Tridle, and Marilyn Funk.
