Gerald F. Chandler 93, of Ogallala passed away Monday, November 24, 2025, at Indian Hills Manor.
Gerald Chandler was born March 20, 1932. He attended grade school in Keystone, Nebraska and graduated high school in Ogallala.
Gerald married Martha Buss in 1950 and together they raised four children. Gerald and Martha later divorced. On February 14, 1986, he married Nadean Staples, and they shared 30 years together until her death on February 1, 2021.
In his early years, Gerald worked on the George McGinley Ranch and Jim Syder Ranch. In 1961, he moved to Sarben, Nebraska where he made his home for nearly six decades. After selling the ranch in 2020, he moved to Grant, and later to Ogallala in 2022.
Gerald is survived by: Daughter, Susie Branting and her husband Harry of North Platte; son, Larry and his wife Sherry of Brule; Daughter, Judy who passed away in a car accident in 1970; and son, Mike and his wife Anita of Chickasha Oklahoma. Gerald was blessed with nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren, each of whom brought great joy to his life.
Gerald surviving siblings are, Don and wife Karen Chandler of North Platte, and sister Edna Arnold of Sidney, NE. Gerald retired from ranching in 2019 and spent his later years resting comfortably in his homes in Grant and Ogallala.
He was preceded in death by two brothers: Kenny and Jim Chandler
Funeral services will be at Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. MST at the Draucker Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Baldwin of the United Methodist Church of Paxton officiating, Interment will be in the Riverview Cemetery at Sutherland, NE. Online condolences may be left at www.drauckerfh.com
